I recently ordered & received this stainless steel 7” hori hori garden knife with sheath by WORKPRO. As an avid gardener, I was excited to try this gardening tool when it became available to me through the Vine program. So many fellow gardeners have previously said to me “You gotta get a hori hori knife!” so here was my opportunity. The knife comes with its own sheath which is a nice feature. I’ve been using this knife to cut sod, remove weeds, cut twine, dig planting holes, and prune small branches. The grip, made of a rubberized material is very comfortable when using the knife for any task. The blade itself is very thick & impressive! There are helpful measurement markings stamped into the blade which is a great feature. Be aware that this thing is SHARP! You definitely want to store it in its sheath when not in use so “little hands” don’t get ahold of it & cut themselves. It’s pretty amazing that this robust tool has such a bargain of a price point (as of May 2025). I would definitely recommend this knife to any gardener looking for a multi-functioning tool & it would also make an awesome gift for the gardener in your life!

I first bought a Fiskars garden knife last year. It worked great and made quick business of the weeds in my yard but the blade broke off at the handle. This one is superior out of the box in a couple of ways; first, it is sharper which makes it more effective for cutting roots, etc. Second, the tip is engineered so that it is easier to get the entire root. I didn't think I would need the holster but since it's quite sharp, the holster is useful. Will it break like the Fiskars knife? We'll have to see. Stay tuned...

I've been using this for a almost a month now and I love it. I've used it to dig up tough weeds, dig holes for my cooler weather plants, pry up small to medium sized rocks, measure the distance between plants. I cut some ivy vines and sawed the small, twiggy branches off of a log to put in my chicken coop. I even cut a melon open for my chickens with it. This tool has a great design, with an included sheath! It's strong! The thing didn't bend when I pried some rocks up out of the ground. (I tend to use my tools in ways they aren't intended so I probably shouldn't keep prying bigger rocks from the ground with this.) When I'm outside, I keep this on me. It's useful in so many ways. The blades were sharp enough to cut through a thick bundle of weeds. The only thing I can say bad about it is the snap on the sheath is a pain. It's really hard to get it closed.

The garden knife arrived exactly as shown in the pictures and everything in the box was perfect— nothing was broken, dented, or chipped. The packaging was nicely branded and presented, and I always like to disclose this because I have a soft spot for manufacturers who take the time to confidently stamp their brand on both the product and its packaging. This is how all quality items should be presented. I always disclose this because some other manufacturers seem to fail to understand the importance of good packaging to ensure that products arrive in perfect condition plus making them presentable; if they did, they would invest more in packaging and presentation.I've recently become more invested in gardening, doing my best to improve my skill, and this is one of those essential tools, which is incredibly versatile. Primarily, it's used for digging, cutting, and weeding. This WorkPro model is heavy-duty and features a serrated blade, allowing it to tackle various tasks, including transplanting, splitting plants, sod cutting, and even functioning as a small hand axe for thinner branches every now and then. The knife has a curved blade with a serrated edge, which is helpful for cutting through tough roots, sod, and even twine. Its sharp tip makes it easy to dig small holes, create furrows for planting, and remove weeds with taproots. The serrated edge is particularly effective for those challenging roots, and the pointed tip can be used for precision work on weeds and even certain suckers on tree trunks. When it comes to transplanting, this knife is excellent for cutting around plant roots to prepare them for relocation. This model even has measurement markings for planting depth and comes with a protective sheath, has a very nice weight too it and the grip works very well too even without gloves and sweaty palms. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it.
