this does not pull all of the root as in dandalions . the ground was wet also. thy should have come out.

This takes most of the effort out of manually pulling weeds. I had a different type of this tool, but part of it broke because it relied on a thin bolt. I saw this and it looked to have fewer moving parts, so I was hopeful it would last longer.When I received this, it seemed remarkably heavy duty. There is only one moving part and it feels very solid. The additional weight from the head of this helps it easily drive into harder soil and clay. I got this pull out some obnoxious weeds. The dirt was dry and this could not pull out the weeds. It is hard to stick in the ground as there is no top handle or a leg pusher. I wet the ground and was able to pull out couple of small weeds. I could not pull out the larger ones. The ones I pulled out were stock and hard to release.

This tool is an excellent back saver provided you understand the function. I had to read the instructions as for me it was the opposite of intuitive. The best way I have found to use this is:- Center over weed-Push down on lever with dominant foot-Rock the whole pole in the direction of the foot pedal (this will close the jaws)-While pulling up rock the whole pole forwardKeep a yard cart with you and a screwdriver, then once you have the tool and weed out of the ground there is no function to eject the weed. Use the screw driver to scrape the dirt cold with weed out and into your yard kart and move on to the next one.With this method I was able to knock how a huge patch of weeds without bending over once. The head is very durable but the handle could easily be snapped if flexed to much. The whole item works best in most soft soil VS hard rocky soil. The weight of the metal head is good, sometimes it gets a little hard to lever out of the ground so I will use my toe under stubborn weeds to help lift and keep the jaw tight. Way cheaper than trying to mend a sore back so I can say this is a great value to help keep your gardens and lawn looking great!

This tool is amazing! You can remove the toughest weeds from a standing position with minimal effort. I am a 79 year old woman and just about gave up on trying to stay ahead of the weeds. This tool is simple to use and makes a tedious job east.

Works well on dandelions. The four prongs do a good job of getting a grip to pull the root.The construction seems stronger than another brand I've used in the past.Only downside is it lacks an eject for the grabbed weed. So you have to manually flick the weed out of the gripper with you finger.

This has exceeded my expectations. It is a heavy duty tool,excellent construction... .and it REALLY WORKS, REALLY WORKS! Who would think I can't wait to go out and extract dandelions !!

This was a really awesome find! The tool is sturdy and well made. It works perfectly for pulling weeds of all kinds - but especially Hypochaeris and Dandelion. I will say that if you haven't kept them at bay, they often grow in clumps of 4 or 5 right on top of each other - so it may take a few pulls to get it all. But if it's just a single weed, you can literally have it out in a few seconds. The tool is simple to operate - you just push it down over the center of the weed and then rock to the side - and it pops right out! Could easily be done by an older kid or a senior citizen. You really can't mess it up - as long as you line it up with the center, it's going to come out. The only downside is that you have to use your hand to push the weed out of the tool. It would be great if there was some kind of lever that would automatically dislodge the weed from the tool. But for $30 it is a steal and I can't complain! An easy 5 stars!
