This repair kit, despite being made in China, has excellent quality. Since the great majority of the Kitchenaid mixer problem was cause by the wear and tear of the gears so this kit is likely to solve your problem. The greatest challenge is perhaps to find a good instruction video on Youtube. Removing all the gunks/grease is not much fun but that is the extent of the difficulty. The steps afterward is quite straight forward. There are a total of four replacement gears. Use the plier to remove the snap-on ring and remove the top gear on the main shaft. Once done, push out the pin on the shaft to remove the bottom gear. This gear has a super tight fit and can be difficult to remove. I used a large screw driver to leverage against the gear housing to lift it. Once you remove all gears, clean up thoroughly before install the gear back since there may be shredded metal pieces inside the gunk. Overall, this kit is one of my best investment since a new Professional 600 cost nearly $800. I spent about an hour fixing it and the majority of this time is spent removing the grease. Those who gave it less than 3 stars may not fully get the hang of it or simply had bad luck.Considering its price, the deal is unbeatable.

This was just what the doctor ordered. My husband had the gears replaced in no time and my kitchen aide mixer is working great. Saved a few hundred by not sending it in to the service center.

Worked for a few weeks then started making horrible noise. Looking for a better alternative.

I bought a KitchenAid mixer online that needed fixed, so I figured out what I needed and this worked great. With a mixer that is used regularly it has held up well. Easy to install.

I purchased this kit to update some of the parts in my mixer. I didn't use the whole kit but rather found myself using parts from 2 different ones. I used the drive gear (for attachements because I noticed my old one was worn. I also used some of the grease but here again I also used grease from another kit. It really made a difference quieting down the mixer since it was about 40 years old and I had never cleaned out the old grease.

This product was as described and included ALMOST everything I needed to repair my KitchenAid 600 series professional mixer. A few key thoughts:There are some washers that were NOT included (I'm not saying they said they would be included, but just a note), so make sure you retain all of the materials you take out of your mixer. The retaining ring pliers were not the correct size for the original snap ring that was in my mixer, which was, by far, the most difficult part of the repair. The pliers DID fit the snap ring that was included with this kit. That aside, it's a pretty simple repair that you can do by following any number of videos on YouTube. I also think this price was outstanding.Only reason for 4-star rather than 5 is the size of the pliers.

I bought this for routine maintenance on a professional 600. After installing all included parts, the mixer had a loud rattle which increased in frequency when the motor was sped up. I spent A LOT of time rechecking the parts install including runner the motor with the gears installed just to check that the motor wasn’t faulty. I ultimately re-installed all of the original gears and the mixer immediately ran with no abnormal noise. I did notice the gear provided that sits below the bevel gear has way too much play on the shaft that it attaches to ( original gear needed a small mallet to remove and eventually reinstall). Cheap machined gears caused a lot headache and I should have just bought Kitchen Aid branded parts. Wish I could get my money and time back.

Fixed mixer works great but a little louder than before the top gear was very tight to get on and off but is doable, the snap ring pliers are not very good quality but get the job done after a few tries.
