I have seen many positions on the hand but none that cover the complete palm of the hand like these do. I got my daughter a pair when she got her skates. They fit securely and I trust these to protect me.

I have skateboarded and snowboarded for a couple decades and tend to brake my fall with my hands braking my wrists 6 times in total. This wrist guard would not protect for this at all. It has too much flex and no top support. They are basically padded gloves, not wrist guards. Hard plastic is the only way to really guard against a broken fall.

So far so good. I wish the velcro went a little further so you could tighten them a bit more, but overall they are comfortable. I previously had 187 killer pads derby wrist guards and I did love them and they lasted a LONG time (almost 2 years) but when they finally broke there was no way to repair them. After that I tried ennui but they broke immediately (within 3 months) I am hoping these are repairable but we will find out. I have used them about 10 times already and I will keep at it and update this review if needed

Works great for protecting my wrists when I roller skate however the straps ripped within 2 weeks so I was disappointed.

These seemed good but I ultimately chose another pair that cover my hands slightly more. If you're looking for more minimalist wrist guards, these might be it.

I like that these provide the right kind of, and adequate protection for a casual rollerblader but... I wear a fitness watch and these gloves are not fitted properly if you are wearing a medium to larger watch. Everything else is great.

Got these for my son. He does wheelies with his bike for extended periods of time. These save his hands from calluses.
