From the mixed reviews, I have a distinct feeling that this seller kind of has the luck of the draw when it comes to the TYPE they receive to refurbish.The one I received IS a genuine Microsoft product. Looks like the Microsoft refurbished packaging, feel sturdy and strong and just like the original I literally just got brand new with my Xbox one S. It works good, plays good, just feel and works identical to the original. Not flimsy, not delicate or any of that as some reviewers have mentioned.

I've had two other Xbox One controllers and I haven't had a single problem; except for the triggers occasionally making some squeaky noises. This refurbished one looks perfectly brand new. The only thing I noticed was that on the shiny plastic surrounding the Xbox One light button there were a few scratches, but expected this, seeing that it is refurbished. Haven't had any problems, don't expect any. ever. One possible design problem, (this is really just my opinion,) the new Xbox One controllers do seem to feel a bit wide and the handles are a bit less easy to grab. I find that these are a bit sharper in comparison to the Xbox 360 controllers, though I have to say the Xbox One controllers look much better. (These do not work with the Xbox 360 or vice versa.) Ordering another one, highly recommend for replacement/extra controller. Well done Microsoft.

Arrived on time, that's the good. After I connected the controller to the xbox we found that we have drift issues with the left stick, the more we use it the worse it gets. Now I have to pull the controller apart and fix it myself. What's the point in buying a cheaper refurbished controller if it wasn't "fixed" in the first place. A simple 30 second QC test would have found this problem right away.:UPDATE:So, when taking apart my "new refurbished" controller to fix the drift issue, I noticed something. To take apart the controller, you need to remove the batteries and punch through a sticker to gain access to the screw holding the controller together. The sticker on my "refurbished" controller was intact, meaning that it wasn't repaired at all, it was returned to them and they in turn, turned right around and resold it as is without repairing it. This makes me VERY angry as the description clearly says refurbished. So buyer beware, it's basically a crap shoot weather or not you get a properly "refurbished" controller that has actually been properly fixed. Microsoft will be hearing from me.:UPDATE 2:After finding the sticker beneath the batteries untouched, I stopped the repairs I would have made myself. I am in the process of returning said piece of junk for a full refund. When we buy a product, we enter an unspoken contract with the seller that we are indeed receiving the product we bought. When I bought this refurbished controller, I went into this with the understanding that at one point this controller did not work properly, but that the seller had fixed the problem. When I received the product, not only was it defective, but I found out that there wasn't even an attempt to fix it by the seller.

Works great. Now that we have had it a few weeks, can't even tell which is the original that came with the Xbox and which is the refurbished one. Frankly, even on day one, I could hardly tell.

Looks and works like a factory new one. We ordered 3 of these and they are all just like a new one. Been using for several weeks and no problems.
