I used this headset at the Burning Man festival. It worked great for around 30 hours, but the microphone (I believe just the switch) stopped working during a dust storm with 40+ mph (65+ km/h) wind.The earpiece/sound tube also came loose from the speaker. Again, this was not under ordinary conditions. The entire set was attached to a radio harness that I frequently took on and off, climbed around in, and otherwise tugged and pulled on.I am not disappointed in this purchase. The item felt very sturdy and was a good value for the price. I can't 100% recommend it based on my experience but I think it would do fine under ordinary use conditions.

This earpiece was great for me as I work on a flightline and have to use over the ear protection that tends to muffle the sound of any important radio calls.This ear piece clips onto the side of your Motorola radio and then is secured with a small screw on the bottom. You can now use your radio with no need to touch the radio itself.The button works great and the mic does as well

I have tried a variety of earpieces for my 7550e, and this one is as good as I've found. The plastic feels very durable, the cable lengths are appropriate, and the functionality is reliable. The sound is clear, the mic works great, and the push-to-talk button also is convenient. The two clips are strong enough, and an extra ear tip is included.I prefer using an earpiece as it keeps my hands free and ensures I don't miss a radio call when it's attached to my belt. Prepare for many "secret service" comments, but that's just because it looks cool. Overall, this piece is a great choice for hands-free radio use. Just make sure your model is compatible.

Heard good things about this mic from my boys @ work .. got my own and it doesn’t even work .. guess I just got a bad Apple :( looks cool though !
