Honestly the design is tough. I’ve had em snagged on brush and barbed wire and they have yet to rip out of the sockets. However, the signal seems to be a tad static compared to transmissions without the extension.

I used this with some electrical tape and zip ties to add a temporary antenna to the roof rails of an SUV for a longer road trip, and shut the coax (gently) in a rear passenger door which we had to open and close several times during the course of the trip. This coax really takes a beating with its steel core and it's so small and thin it fits through small openings and tight spaces. I'm sure there is a bit of loss but nothing that was noticeable to me for the purposes of my trip. I also used it at one point to run a temporary antenna out onto a hotel balcony in much the same fashion and that was great because it was too cold and windy for me to stand outside on the balcony to talk on the radio. Very handy to have something like this and takes up hardly any space. The female end of the cable has a bulkhead nut if you wanted to mount it in sheet metal or paneling.

This cable is nice because of its flexibility. It has the chassis connection on one side and serves as an extension for the BNC connections. The high point of this cable is the connection between the 2 BNC plugs. If you have ever struggled with stiff coax, this one is for you. The cable is easily maneuvered and can be sent thru a balun for RF reduction a lot easier then using thicker coax.
