Xuan Paper Storage Tips:
Please do not expose Xuan paper to the sun in case affect the performance and life of Xuan paper.
Please place several mothballs around and stay it away from dust and damp during storage.
If the rice paper is damp, please put in a cool and ventilated place dry naturally.
HOW TO DISTINGUISH THE PAPER ?
If you want to distinguish between raw rice paper and ripe rice paper, you can use water to test it. Drop few water on the rice paper, If the water that disperses immediately, it is raw rice paper. If it does not spread immediately or does not spread, it is ripe rice paper.If the water slower dispersing speed, it is half raw ripe paper.

The papers are too thin, it does not hold the ink well, instead the ink penetrates very easily, soils the paper underneath. The ink also diffuses heavily, making a black ink ball for your written words. Had to return it.

Just received so haven’t actually used yet but paper has a nice surface/feel and lots of sheets for practice. I’m thinking of all kinds of things to use it to make, not just writing or painting 😁

I have tried 2 other brands of Xuan paper on Amazon before this one. I like this one the most. I feel the the half raw paper here has the right level of balance between "Raw" and "Ripe" for Kai Shu style writing.

This paper is very thin, with one side being smooth and the other having a slight texture to it. It has very subtle parallel lines running through it, which makes it look like it was made on a traditional screen and adds interest. And it's an excellent value.My only complaint is the packaging. It comes wrapped in plastic but with no cardboard backing or any other protection. This would be fine in a store, but when delivered by Amazon it takes a beating. The first package I ordered was completely unusable and had to be returned. The second package still has some wrinkles, but I decided to keep it and I'll try to flatten it between books. It's just a shame to ruin such nice paper with poor packaging.

I’m not a professional. It’s just my hobby. This is the first rice paper I’ve ever had to paint on. It’s exactly as you would expect it to be. Watercolor if not mixed correctly will bleed. It’s rice paper so it’s then. It’s a beautiful beautiful paper. Wonderful texture. Excellent for ink. I will buy it again and again

It was primarily used for ink. Its tears easily for resizing. And have tested it with windsor and newton ink and dawler and rowley acrylic ink and it works good. Will be testing with other items. I have attached a quick sketch using the paper with windsor and newton calligraphy ink and a glass dip pen.
