Pickup tube needs to be longer, doesn't reach the bottom of a taller can

Very Happy with this pump. At first it didn't work until I realized I had only pulled the first battery holder out, not realizing there are two holders for a total of six AAA batteries. I have a pump similar to this without the nozzle end and I like this one much better. The discharge hose It's almost twice as long as the ones you can buy from the big box store even without the nozzle. With the nozzle it's much easier to control and also longer so it doesn't fall out of my kerosene heater is easy. The pump rate is similar to that and other ones I've used and there are no leaks or other issues that I can see. Definitely a decent quality and a good value for the money. What I like most about it is the pump end is a smaller diameter than the ones you buy at the store. With this one I don't have to force it into my gas can. It slides in nice and easy and pulls out nice and easy without getting hung up

This battery powered pump transfers fuel quickly and easily from a gas can . I use it to fuel my side by side which is normally a pain with the new style fuel cans. I highly recommend it.

These transfer pumps sure make filling up a mower much easier. I have a bad shoulder and got sick of using small fuel jugs. I now can fill of the 5 gallon jug and use this to transfer to the mower. No spilling and no lifting! This one comes with the battery adapters so you can use 6 AA instead of 2 D. Works for me since I had plenty of AA. At fist I could not get it to cut on. Tried several batteries, screwed the pieces tighter, looser, a little banging here and there. I finally narrowed the problem down to the switch. I think it just was not making a good connection with the batteries so after a bit of playing with it I got the little metal piece in the right place and it turned on. I used it yesterday and it worked just fine. The nozzle is really nice to control the flow and makes it super easy to fill up.

This thing is cool. I have 10 aquariums around my house and lifting a bucket to do water changes is a pain. This thing allows me to carry the bucket around and pump the water directly into the tanks without the heavy lift and messy pouring. I am going to try and add a sponge to the bottom to see if it can be used to pull water out of the tanks while protecting my fry.The hose quality is not that great and may do better with a good quality rubber hose instead. The batteries can be 2 Ds or 6 AA in the handle and I used the 6 AA rechargeable without an issue. There is one problem I had which put me at 4 stars instead of 5, the battery compartment. My unit had blue plastic shavings out of the box which I did not know where they came from. Turns out the battery holder has a small metal contact that connects the bottom of the batteries to the top of the handle completing the circuit. This small metal contact shaves the relatively soft handle plastic as it is screwed or unscrewed and I could hear it scraping every time. This will wear out the plastic more and more as you replace the batteries.Love the idea and product but that scraping of the battery compartment has me worried about repeated use.
