This new take on a traditional coiled cord leash solves the troubling problem of overstretched coil cord. Made from solid rubber, with no wire inside, the leash features a full memory coil which will stretch from 24 Inch to 60 Inch. Quick connection of the leash to the boat-side is through a 360 degree, nylon and swivel hook to any pad eye or accessible seat strap. The fishing pole is then connected with a durable, 1-1/2 inch thick adjustable Velcro strap, that you connect to the butt of your rod, just under your fishing reel. You catch the fish, we will catch the pole. Fishing pole not included.

This particular type is made well and works well. The coiled type works better because it doesn't hang down and get in the way.

I have bought 3 different kayak leashes For my paddle which is an ascend. I had issues with them not being large enough to fit the diameter of my paddle or they were just plain junk. But this leash is absolutely perfect and I couldn't ask for more, goes around the paddle without without issue and I had issues with them not being large enough to fit the diameter of my paddle or they were just plain junk. Works great. Used it all last season and it's still going strong. I used it during some heavy ocean wave surfing in my kayak, dumped a few times but never lost the paddle.

Price is ok, the only thing I didn't like is the clip is too cheap.not for a gaft,you may loose it on a big fish.
