Keeps the fabric feeding through smoothly and maintains a 1/4” seam consistently. Works great for applying binding on my quilts. Highly recommend.

PROS: Looks as advertised. It's a good idea.CONS: Works best on machines that have an all metal floor instead of just the needle plate being metal. Mine the latter. The floor of my sewing machine is plastic with metal needle plate. On my machine, the screw on this magnetic sewing attachment has to clear the apparatus that secures the sewing needle. To do that, this magnetic device has to be moved towards me which places it 1/2 way on the metal needle plate and 1/2 way on the plastic floor of my machine. It then moves while sewing. So, this magnetic device is a pointless venture for my machine.

Used it several times, but I am sure that I will get better were I should place for the best results.So far, don’t use metal bobbin when using this magnet, mine was attracting it and stitch was loosing tension.As for placement, I am still discovering, was using upholstery and regular cotton fabric, both were able to move a bit, maybe the clap that goes from the top should be tighter or stronger.As for now, I am satisfied but need to see all angles and find the best position.Base of my machine is plastic, as many, but maybe that is making it different from all network videos, you cant place it just anywhere.Bdw magnet is strong!
