This is a good tailpiece for loop end strings on a banjo. Installation was straight forward. There are no sharp edges that abrade the loops on the strings.

I have a Gold Tone CC-100R -- the tailpiece on it recently broke in half after restringing, but lasted about 10 years. This product is "basically" the exact same tailpiece but there was one issue;The casting is not quite the same, and the retaining features for loop-end strings are not as good as the original part -- I had to file little grooves in this tailpiece so that the strings would not slide off. The original tailpiece has little 'overhangs' right in the casting to catch loop end strings.It also does not come with the hardware required to mount it to the banjo -- luckily I was able to re-use the hardware I had because it did not break. Overall, this went on nicely, looks exactly the same and seems to be working, but did require a little extra attention. We'll see how long it lasts...This product is a little on the cheap side, and I would recommend you go with a nicer one and avoid having to rework yourself.

I haven’t tried it yet. It looks functional, but casting marks aren’t attractive.

This fit the pill perfectly. Recently bought an Ibanez B-200 and the tailpiece on that one was a real tail-piece if you get what I mean. This fit perfect and is actually adjustable, sounds good, decent weight and solid.
