I needed two as a gift. They are pricey but are heavy, well made and look elegant. My brother and sister-in-law eat and make sushi often and really loved the set. They often send me pics of their homemade sushi on these plates. The black makes the good pop.

Ok, I’ll state this right from the beginning…the only reason I didn’t rate this plate set 5 stars is pricing. I love that the way the set looks. The size of the plates is optimal and there is an elegance to them that was missing from a different set I purchased previously. Easy to clean and adds to the overall appearance of my sushi preparation. That said… in my humble opinion it’s overpriced by half. It’s nice, just not that nice. So, the “overall value” is lost on me. Love it otherwise. All that said, I am going to allow myself to get fleeced a second time for the sake of having 4 settings in total.

Bluffée ! Cet ensemble à sushis est magnifique, je ne m'attendais pas à cette qualité. Suffisamment lourd et plus grand que je pensais. Même les baguettes sont très bien, rien à voir avec les jetables. Bien présenté et protégé dans son coffret (hélas en simple carton) et dans de belles empreintes en mousse noires. Bonne idée de cadeau, juste dommage que la boîte ne soit pas plus belle. Quoique cela peut avoir un intérêt, on est agréablement surpris en l ouvrant. Néanmoins, je vais conserver le service dans cette boîte, dommage qu'elle ne soit pas plus belle. Pour l'identifier et la valoriser je pense l' emballer à la japonaise dans un joli tissu.

I bit expensive, but compliments sushi nights very well. Combined with several cookbooks, no need to go out for sushi any more.

Very unique. modern Japanese feel. Very individual pieces and chopsticks have a delicate and unique patterning on them. Beautiful!

Great sushi plate set that steps up my homemade sushi game big time! The ceramic plates are of high quality and has a nice heft to them. They are not flimsy by any means and feel very sturdy. The overall craftsman ship is great and I love pulling this out every time I am having sushi. The chopsticks feel good to use and the hashioki is a nice addition to keep them clean. I am very satisfied with these and everyone that I have shown them to are thoroughly impressed by it. Get it!

This is as beautiful in person as it appears online. It's solid, has a nice weight to each of the pieces, and no defects in craftsmanship. I like the small details: the water droplet ripple effect on the sushi plate that is perfectly centered, the slightly uneven edges on the dipping sauce dish that gives it rustic appeal and a homemade but still elegant look, and the feel of the chopsticks. The chopsticks have a very subtle engraving on them of leaves.This comes very securely packaged to prevent damage in transit and it's high quality. It feels like it will last for many years of regular use. I have no complaints.
