I love these. The large variety of colors allow you to color coordinate sections of your pattern when working with a number of cables in your work. They are light weight and easily flip from front to back of your needles. They do not catch on your yarn. You can't beat the price for such a large quantity. They also work great while sewing layers of fabric.

Very nice little metal pear shaped pins, perfect for marking stitches especially for larger projects that you need to mark lots of rows or connection points. They do have fairly sharp points on them, so beware! lol. They were shipped in a well-sealed box, which is great for shipping but not for ongoing storage purposes. For now I have put them in some of my embroidery thread bags but I plan on finding a container that will allow easier access while crocheting.

You can never have too many stitch markers. The average "small adult woman" size sweater for me requires around 50 to 60 stitch markers for sleeves, marking off increases, round counters, and marking off pattern repeats. Now take into account various kits you may have for knitting in your favorite places. Now take into account how many you drop and are never seen again. This set of 1500 will last a good long while.Conveniently, they can also go through the wash in your pockets and come back in usable condition! Yay!

Using these pins as stitch holders. Not sure how smoothly they would be going through fabric, as the coatings rub off the tips. I separated the pins by color and batches of 25, then easily counted the pins: received only 1,478 of the stated 1,500 items. Suspect they are packaged from a large premixed batch, by weight, because there are not exactly 50 pins of each color (as described0. Some colors only have 1 to 3 pins present. Also think the coated pins add more weight than the metal pins, so the count gets off. There are about double the number of coated pins vs metal. If this matters to you, look for some purely metallic sets. Otherwise, they are okay.
