Cheaply made, too much plastic. I felt they would not hold up for the price.I returned them but still have not gotten my refund!

What I liked about these was their weight. The materials appear cheap, but for the price and weight I was fine with that. The problem was my normal hiking boots would not fit into the front straps of the snow shoes. I'm 6', 151 lbs. The shoes are rated for up to 225 lbs. The fit should not have been a problem. I could get my boots into the straps with a little force when they were opened as far as they would go, but it was harder to get them out. The shoe laces would get caught. A little more strapping and they would have been okay. Seems like a pretty stupid oversight.

I wish that Yukon Charlie's would make snowshoes as well as they made them 10 years ago. Materials and components have had a drop in quality.

I liked the price and quality of the materials but you can tell that research and product development wasn’t done by people that are serious snowshoe runners. You can run in these snowshoes but not with as natural of a gait as another brand that I tried. They are a little too wide and they twist on my feet so that my heels go to the inside. You have to be careful when running with these as it’s very easy to catch your toe and trip forward. Wearing gaiters is proving to be a must and I’m ok with that. They will kick up a lot of snow that will make the back of your legs and butt wet if your pants aren’t water resistant but that was true with the Dion running shoes that I tried also. These are my packed trail snowshoe and I have 3 others for different conditions. I’m trying train my binding by leaving my high top shoes in the bindings when not in use or using spring clamps to fold or crease the bindings in locations where I think performance will be improved. I don’t recommend these for serious runners. Get Dions.

This is our second time buying Yukon Charlie snowshoes. Though the styling isn't as clever as the first set, the binding is amazing! Easy to tighten with gloves or mittens, and the price of $109 was a great deal!Thank you, Santa Claus (and Amazon)!

Absolutely love these snow shoes. They are light weight and move nicely with my steps. I was a bit worried about the string for the foot hold, but after being out several times it didn't seem to be a concern. As always I carry extra stuff just in case, so my recommendation for anyone questioning it is go with what works for you but always be prepared. (I've had the rubber bindings break before, it is just the way it is) These go on and come off quickly, making it nice when it's freezing temps. I also greatly appreciate the teeth and found going up and down hills very manageable regardless of powder or more icy conditions. The collapsible poles are a great addition to the package. My only lower review is of the carrying bag, it's ok but not great material. All in all would buy them again.

I was just able to test my new snowshoes, and I love them. Easy to put on easy to take off, easy to adjust. I was able to test the integrated heel lift, it makes going up mountains so easy. My friend were very jealous. The strap around my heel slipped off a few times but that might have been user error. I'm 160lbs and my pack is usually around 15-30lbs, I was able to stay comfortable in fluffy powdery snow, not too much sinking.

This is a great inexpensive way to see if you like snowshoe running. The weight limit was misleading or I totally missed it. I weigh 165lbs and the shoe has a 150lb weight limit. I only use it on packed trails so they work for me. The binding is super easy to use.

These Snowshoes seem to be well made, I really like the easy in, easy out of these and don't have to worry about the front straps cracking over time like plastic ones I've seen. Unfortunately my 1st time out in them was a nightmare. In deep but soft snow, all they did was sink to the ground and made it that much harder to pull my feet out of the snow. I bought them for #50 over my weight as well in case I use a back pack or pull a sled. I had no added weight today. These would be fine on a hard crust or trail, even on a lake if the snow hasn't started melting.
