Moderate heat a few feet away but that met my expectations

I’ve been using this infrared patio heater for a few weeks now and I’m impressed with how quickly it warms up the area. It heats objects directly instead of the air, so even on breezy evenings, it still keeps my outdoor space toasty. Setup was easy—just followed the manual and had it mounted in no time. I love that it can be mounted on a wall or used as a portable heater depending on what you need. The build quality feels solid, and the safety features (like the tip-over shutoff and protective grill) give me extra peace of mind, especially with pets around. It’s also surprisingly energy-efficient—I’ve noticed barely any change in my electric bill.My only small gripe is that I wish the power cord were a bit longer to give more flexibility in placement. But overall, this is a great heater that works well both outdoors and in enclosed patios.

We use this heater for temporary heat outside when freezing weather approaches. It is well built, looks sleek and stylish, while also being super easy to setup. We just strapped it to the poles that support our shade sails.Read The Direction!! I thought - "it's a heater, how hard could it be?" Well I didn't take get ALL the plastic off before first use. I accidently left a piece on and spent the next 30 minutes after it cooled down, cleaning it. If I had read the directions I would have realized that piece needs to be removed before first use. It's clearly called out in the manual.Great little heater, THROWS some serious heat out front while the rear remained cool to the touch. SUPER easy to setup and take down with the straps.

This infrared electric patio heater is perfect for extending outdoor gatherings into the cooler months. It’s easy to install with a strap for mounting on a post, and the 1500W power provides plenty of heat for small to medium-sized spaces. The remote control adds convenience, allowing you to adjust the temperature without getting up.I’ve used this heater in my gazebo, and it’s made a huge difference. It heats up quickly and keeps the area warm even on chilly evenings. The remote control is a convenient feature, and the heater is compact but effective. It’s been a great addition to my outdoor setup.

This heater has really warmed us up in our back porch! Installation took just 20 minutes using the included ratchet strap option, and I love being able to rotate it to direct heat exactly where I'm working instead of wasting energy on the entire space. The dual remotes let me fire up the heater from the doorway before entering, giving it a head start while I gather my tools (just remember to buy AA batteries). What got me completely is how quickly it responds, within seconds you feel the infrared warmth, and in a minute or two, my immediate area becomes comfortable enough to remove gloves and relax. For anyone dealing with cold weather in their back porch; without investing in expensive heating unit, this creates that perfect bubble of warmth exactly where you need it.

I have a small garage without heat, so I wanted something I could mount in there for when I need to work on something and it's cold out. This is perfect! You can rig it up to mount on the wall, or you can strap it to a column, which is the easier option. It runs in a normal power outlet, and you get 2 remotes with it. Comptroller is really simple and the remotes work really well. This thing throws some serious heat, and it's very customizable, down to the angle you sit the unit at. You can also control the spread of heat as well, so if you want a more narrow band, you just adjust the settings. It heats up my garage in a pretty respectable time with the door closed. Just make sure to unplug it when you're done!Highly recommend!

This heater arrived well packed. The unit is easy to mount; we mounted it on a railing on our patio. We have left it out in the rain without any problems. Now that we are in a Canadian winter we have removed the unit from the mount for winter storage; removal is quick, and we are able to leave the main mount undisturbed on the railing. When functioning we found the heat distribution was very good and the unit heats up quickly.Comparing this to an old propane heater the output was similar but this unit, being electric, is far safer, more economical to run, and you never run out of fuel.Overall Verdict?Good quality, good heat, I recommend this product.

As a heater, it's great. It emits heat almost instantly, and has a good amount of power and even looks pretty outstanding and durable. However, in terms of practicality, it's not really great, mostly because it has very limited placement abilities. By that, I mean that the length of the cord is restricting it to 6ft from a power outlet, as it does say not to use an extension cord. I'm personally not sure how I feel about that - as in, I am inclined to not believe why that would be an issue. There's other electronic devices we own that use 1500watts, and it's on a power bar and extension cord. Also, changing its mode/powering on is restricted to using the remote control which, as an outdoor heater, makes this even easier to misplace often. Having the ability to control it right on the heater would be so much more ideal. The mounting flexibility and orientation is really convenient, however.

There's no real way to use this without a post. Overpriced, I got another heater that does the same thing and stands up itself.

This is really a nice little outdoor heater for small to medium sized spaces. It creates way more heat than you would think it would be able to being limited to 1500 W. It’s relatively easy to install and operates as expected. As these things go, it’s pretty discreet in terms of looks and can be placed flexibly depending on the needs of your space. The remote works well.

This one-piece heater unit arrived nicely padded and undamaged. There are several foam rubber shock absorbing pad "clips" on the glass tube heating element that must be removed prior to plugging in the unit. There are orange warning stickers on the pads explaining this, but for those that don't read instructions (you know who you are) you'll probably find out quickly that the pads need to be removed the moment you plug it in and turn it on.The mounting included mounting hardware allows the unit to be strapped to a post, or wall mounted using L-brackets. For testing, we strapped the pillar bracket to a portable sign post using the included ratchet strap. The heater bracket slips into the pillar bracket and a long threaded wing-bolt secures the two brackets - there are detents to allow tilt adjustment. There was supposed to be a spacer for the wing-bolt, but that was missing from our bag of mounting hardware. Also, the pillar bracket had to be bent a bit to allow the wing-bolt to enter the threaded nut welded to the bracket perpendicular - otherwise it would have gotten cross-threaded.There are two remote controls included, but no batteries are included (each remote uses two AA batteries). You MUST use the remote to control the heater - there are no buttons on the heater itself. The remote functions are pretty intuitive, except for changing from Celcius to Fahrenheit (must press the page button then Up or Down button), and Lock/Unlock for child proofing - although it's good the lockout sequence isn't intuitive. The heater element glows quickly, and warms items pretty well. We tested it outside in 32°F calm weather on our wide-open patio. With the heater mounted about 3' off the ground, we felt the warmth from as far as 4-5' away. It is very directional, so you need to be in close proximity to the heater to feel it. It would be good for a small space where you can be close to the heater - otherwise you'd need a couple of them to cover more area. The heater has a 6' power cord with a grounded plug. The instructions warn not to use an extension cord, but unless you have an outlet near where you can mount the heater, a short, heavy gauge extension is almost a necessity. The heater has a CSA certification rating sticker, but no UL rating.I dropped one star off this review for the following issues:- Missing hardware- Mounting bracket not formed accurately to allow wing-bolt to engage properly- Short power cord- No UL rating- Price ($399.99 at the time of this review) - over twice the cost of similar heaters, some that include free-standing mounting poles. At this price point, I would expect zero issues - no matter how minor.
