There are several steps to assemble these but the instructions are very clear and easy to understand. The rod is made of good quality materials. It holds well to the wall and does not feel like it is going to pull down. The hardware is good quality.I did have one screw that was not manufactured correctly but it still worked.

Moved into a new house and got this for my son’s bathroom. We placed it up high (near the ceiling) and it works pretty well. It was simple enough for him to put up in his own (he’s 18 tho) and he likes the separate of his shower liner and shower curtain. It’s sturdy, the tension is good and adjustable enough to fit most tub/shower situations and it’s worth the money spent.

It’s so convenient to not have to shower in the dark all because I want a pretty curtain. I use a clear shower curtain on the inside and my fancy one on the outside. Added bonus is the second rod doubles as a drying rack for towels! It comes with black hooks which have not chipped although be warned, if you are overzealous closing the shower curtain, it will come unhooked on the ends occasionally. Don’t be cheap, just get this already.

After installation, I wanted to raise the dual shower rods higher. During adjustment, one rod lost its tension mechanism. I contacted Amazon via chat, and while the representative offered a 50% refund, I chose to return the item for a full refund instead. See photo of missing hardware. The dual rods have several design issues. Each rod consists of two pieces that connect via a plastic edge for bordering the metal edge of the female sub rod. Unfortunately, this insert makes it difficult for the other half to glide in smoothly. Additionally, the metal end caps that snap onto the tension mounts detach too easily—there should really be a screw to secure them.Another problem is with the tension mounts themselves. They have foam padding, which stuck to my drywall and pulled up some paint—even though the paint is four years old. A better-quality rubber or a different material at the wall interface might help prevent this. That said, the dual-rod shower curtain could work well if the above issues are addressed, or if they’re not a concern—such as when mounting against tile or a shower enclosure, or if you can find workarounds (e.g., lubricating the connecting joints of the rods).Overall, it’s hard to find dual tension-mounted rods at a reasonable price online, but unfortunately, this one didn’t meet my expectations. Had I not found another brand under $80, I would have given this product a second chance.
