I tried using my automatic buttonhole presser foot that came with my sewing machine, but it wasn’t working. It kept stopping halfway through and got stuck in one place. I tried everything to get it working but was unsuccessful.I then tried making buttonholes manually. I practiced a ton of times and got good at it, but was still not the best result. I got this clear foot so that I can see my stitches better. This worked great for that. It made it much easier to see that there was enough fabric in the middle so I don’t cut the threads when opening the hole.Not sure if it’ll last forever like a metal foot, but it’s worth it when you need it.

This is see through. I needed to be able to see my stitch line as I sew. This lets me do that. Fits my low shank Singer heavy duty work horse. I would recommend.
