Got these for our original Easter escape room experience at our church. Very nice combination locks. The code is 0-0-0 when they're new. To open, set the appropriate code, and hold the sliding switch on the mechanism while "unzipping" the zip tie lock. To change the code, unlock it, and use the included key to turn the key cylinder clockwise 90 degrees (it will stay). Then, set the 3-digit-code you want, and turn the key cylinder back to its original position. Voila - a zip tie lock with your personal pass code! If you want to use this lock WITHOUT a code, just don't turn the key cylinder back to its original position - it will stay unlocked and work like a very strong reusable zip tie.It appears that a thin straight screwdriver might work if you lose the key, BTW.

These zip tie locks are super handy for quick, low-risk security. I use them to lock my helmet to my bike and they’re small, lightweight, and easy to stash in a bag. The stainless steel core makes them feel sturdy enough for casual use. Just don’t expect heavy-duty protection—more of a deterrent than a real lock. Still, great for convenience.

Cool product. I bought this for securing my motorcycle helmet when parked. Perfect for that. Lightweight and strong enough for security for a couple of hours. Quality is good!

So this isn't built like a zip tie, it's built like a coated metal cable lock that functions like a zip tie. It is easy to set the code with the provided tool, and is very strong. It works very well and is solid!!! Because of it's size on vacation I was able to lock all my zippers on my laptop backpack with one lock. It is big so on a bagpack it's gonna stick out but that also works very well as a deterrent too. At that price and for two I totally reccomend it. This lock is actually really cool!!!

A determined thief could cut this, but it will discourage opportunistic thefts.___I did not want to keep my helmet with me when locking up my bike, but properly locking my bike did not leave me with an easy way to leave my helmet with my bike, so when I saw this item, I ordered it.___This is not as strong as my bike lock (bikes are expensive!), so I am not locking my bike with this,, but I am running the end thru the ventilation hole and thru my bike frame. This keeps my helmet secured (and away from any greasy gears) so I don't have to carry it into the store/restaurant with me when I am out and about.___Excellent for the purpose (lightweight, functional and doesn't take up much space).

iDFSEC offers a handy combination of a cable lock and a zip-tie. It is lightweight, intuitive, easy to carry, and simple to use. The strap features serrations similar to the teeth on a zip-tie, while the head contains a metal latch that functions like the pawl in a traditional zip-tie.The strap is relatively flexible but reinforced with a metal plate, so it is not overly pliable. This three-digit combination lock provides basic security—sufficient for deterring opportunistic theft, as most petty thieves are unlikely to spend time cycling through all 1,000 possible combinations. However, if you need to secure something highly valuable, you should consider a stronger lock with a metal cable and a four-digit combination for added protection. The affordable price (currently $13.59) makes it even more appealing. I plan to use this lock for my bike.

These are super easy to use and to set your personalized combination. We are simply using these to secure our refrigerator at night to prevent pesky teenagers from preparing for hibernation. They serve the purpose for our use, but I doubt they would be much good for more sensitive security needs. The quality seems they could be easily defeated and best not used for critical needs. I don't think I would trust these as a bike lock, but if you are looking for a simple solution to a problem such that we have, they work just fine. Pricing is fair, they function as expected and we anticipate continued use.

This iDFSEC Combination Zip Lock is perfect for my shed. Right out of the package, resetting the combination was easy with the clear instructions and included “key” — though if you misplace it, any small screwdriver works fine.I bought this because my shed isn’t in the best shape, and the doors don’t line up well enough for a traditional lock. This was the perfect solution. I can close the doors, run the zip tie through the lock hatch, give it a good tug, and feel confident the wind — or a person — won’t pop it open. The combination clicks into place, and the release mechanism works smoothly. It’s been out in rain, snow, and freezing temperatures for weeks now and still looks and functions like new. While it’s not a high-security lock, it’s a solid deterrent and fits my needs perfectly. 5 stars
