SOC (State of Charge) appears to be accurate, however SOH (State of Health) reading appears to be low.I tested two batteries with ZKH. Both tested SOH low and tester suggested replacing battery.Both batteries tested good at dealer service department; one at Ford and the other at Subaru.

Between my wife and kids, I have five cars I need to keep running.No matter how fancy or crappy the car, there is always maintenance to be performed (oil and filter changes etc.) and parts that wear out (tires, batteries, brakes, etc.). This unit can help with the elctrical part of that equation.You can check the health of the battery, you can check the charge capabilities, the cranking capabilities. That helps to determin if the battery is bad or going bad, if the starter is bad or going bad, and if the alternator is working as it should.Yes, you can probably head down to your local auto parts store and have them check your battery. But that is a hassle for everyone involved and takes up precious time we have been giving on this beautiful planet.I am glad to have this in my garage arsenal of tools, and I recommend it to anyone looking to be able to do their own battery and charging systems test.

Product testing is easy and straightforward. Only negative is the testing leads should be longer. This is apparently true when hanging it on hood latch for testing. On my SUV leads didn’t come close to the battery rendering the hook useless.

I think this is a cool and useful product. This little device can test 12v and 24v automotive batteries. I tests the health of the battery including cold cranking amps, engine cranking test for motor starting, and battery charging test for the vehicle. I found it very easy to connect and use. The menus are easy to follow and the instruction manual is well written. I tested the batteries in three of my vehicles and it provided data and analysis that was in alignment with my expectations. The tester has a rubber coated magnet to hold it on your car without scratching the pait, and it has a fold-out hook so you can hang it up too. Overall, I think this battery tester provides a good value.
