My only complaint with this rice cooker is that now when I go to restaurants their rice is rarely as good as what I can make for myself at home.

Works for even better than expected. Used it to make things not even listed on it and it has made them all perfectly. Highly recommended.

Zojirushi makes the best rice cookers. Sure it's expensive but it works great and will last you a very long time. There are many other models so pick on that suits your needs.

Some Zojirushi products are now made in China... they seem fine, But Made In Japan =means it's bullet proof!

I never knew how good rice could be before i bought a rice cooker. a friend (with japanese children) recommended this because he's had it for 10 years and never had any issues. all the reviews i saw showed the same - the more expensive japanese built is the best, and so far, it seems to be true. extremely easy to use (literally put rice and water in the bowl and press start) easy to clean (just remove the bowl and wash) i've made absolutely perfect rice every time. this is a device that is worth the money, buy it once, buy for life.

Amazing rice cooker. Almost daily use for more than 3 years and still makes great rice.Used it a couple of times for other things in the options, but mainly use it to cook rice, mostly jasmine, but also brown and sushi rice. It does a great job of keeping the rice warm through the day so you can have fresh rice when you need it. Works great.

Well, it's my first ever rice cooker, so I can't say I'm an expert on the subject. But, I have heard a lot of issues people have with rice cookers is that it burns on the bottom or it doesn't cook right; I can say with certainty this rice cooks to perfection. It has nice little instructions on how to correctly/adequately wash the rice and comes with a neat little spoon/spatula thing I can't remember the name of at this moment, which makes fluffing the rice and mixing it when making sweet/sushi rice so much easier. Love the little markings on the inside so I don't have to measure anything but the rice itself. Highly recommend getting this for quick, simple, and absolutely amazing tasting rice, but it is a little pricy and worth it to me.

I've always wanted a Japanese rice cooker and I finally decided to splurge after a year of making rice in an instant pot. This bad boy makes rice - it's one job and he does it perfectly, everytime. There absolutely is a difference and if you like to eat a lot of rice, this is worth it :)

After going through many rice cockers over the years, mainly due to peeling of the inner pot, I found this perfect rice cocker. Needless to say, the inner pot is very high quality and slippery - very easy to clean - has been using it for 1 year and it's still as smooth as day 1. Feature wise, since day 1 when we bought it, we have been having using it for cooking different grains: Jasmine, Calrose, sushi, brown, mixed rice; congee; steaming; and even cereal. It handles it with perfection. One small feature request would be to have one more timed cooking slot (only 2 right now), I sometimes have to cook rice morning, afternoon and at night. All-in-all, this is the end-game rice cooker.

Since I own an Instant Pot, I was really on the fence about getting a rice cooker... But I honestly don't regret it at all. This thing is amazing.I saw a few people complain about the cook time but that's just silly. The Quick setting is around 30 min and the Normal and Umami settings are around an hour. You just adapt to the cook time. I usually start rice before I start cooking and it'll be ready by the time I'm done. It's also great at keeping the rice nice and warm for HOURS so just start it sooner and stop moaning.I went for this more expensive model because the cheaper models are not Made in Japan, often too small and have less features. I really like the Umami setting, I think it makes a big difference! Although to be quite frank, I rarely make more than 2-3 cups of rice.I eat rice so much more often now. It always comes out perfect and it cooks while I'm doing other stuff. If it's too expensive, consider looking at the other Zoijirushi rice cookers. I'm sure they're great too.

Le cordon d'alimentation ne rentre juste pas. Peu importe combien de pression j'applique pour tenter de le connecter, il tombe dès que je cesse. Impossible d'allumer l'appareil.

The lift in the picture is the spot on the pot that's starting to lift and peel off. Let me just go through my experience, so I have used this to make exactly 8 pots of 4 cups of jasmine rice. Nothing else in 2 months, and I mean nothing else. I hand wash the pot, with a mild soap and my hands. I never leave it on past 3 hours, it's made for dinner then bagged and put in the fridge so there's no reason for this to happen other than it's cheaply made. I have taken care of this thing with more care than I have with my wife. Buying a Japanese rice maker sadly was something I've waited for, I waited until I was successful enough to buy it without regret. Unfortunately I regret this purchase especially with how my South Korean brand C...... lasted as long as it did. Really angry I can't return it because of a 1 month return window but this is what this review is for, to help others. As it gets worse I'll add more photos unless I get a new pot for free. Buyer beware.Update 10/31/22 The pot keeps getting worse, in less than a year it looks worse than anything I've bought for 30 bucks at a Walmart. I'm definitely disappointed with this, will be returning business to the South Korean brands, this is unacceptable from any standard in Japan.
