It looks great, and sticks well to the tank, but I would be careful of using these as they are quite sharp. If your betta has little sense, its fins will quickly get damaged by this. The betta ornament test is, if you run stockings over it and they tear, it’s too pointy/sharp for a betta tank.We went with real plants in the end. Slightly more expensive and requires more maintenance, but they look better, softer on their fins, and help the ammonia cycle / stabilise the tank of toxins.

Was a little put off when reading reviews as seems to be a mixed reaction. Upon receiving this item, there are no sharp bits that I can feel and certainly had a good check as my Betta is my pride and joy. Within a few hours of putting this in my tank, my Betta was investigating and he seems happy as do the other fish in my tank

I was worried that this might have plastic edges, but it's a very soft plastic more like a silicone texture on the leafy parts and didn't bother my half moon betta.

I love these little zoo med suction cup betta plants so much. They're quite versatile as you can anchor them to the bottom or the side of your tank and they are quite flexible and can be arranged on the anchor point to your liking. They hold their color well and are fairly soft so they shouldn't damage long fins. I have had one of these for 3+ years now and it looks brand new still (not all plastic plants hold up that well). Plus, for the price they really can't be beat.

The leaves have little plastic hooks from the production mold, and sharp points at the tips of the leaves. This product is not suitable for a betta tank. It will snag on cotton cloth, no way I am experimenting with my fish. looks cool and would be fine in a tank with less delicate fish.

I have waited for over 6 months before writing this review. I wanted to be sure it would be an accurate review. I bought 2 of these for my Betta fish. I have one in each aquarium. I am very pleased with this product and would buy again. My Bettas seem quite content. One of them uses it to rest upon. There has been no detrimental effects from using this in their tanks.I would definitely buy again. My fish are happy and so am I. Thanks for a great product. I shopped around quite a while before deciding upon this one. I find the plant to be very soft.

I have several bettas (18) and some are in cubes that are within inches of each other. I use these plants as a visual divider on the side of the aquarium to help the bettas not have to flare and be as confrontational toward each other. The suction cup is good quality and sticks well even after being moved. You can rotate the plant on the suction cup and stick it to the bottom of a container instead of the side if that's what you need. I have bought multiple varieties and they are all relatively natural looking.

Looks realistic, good quality and the surface of the plant is nice and soft. Not sure if its the best for a betta due to the pointy leaves but seems okay so far.

I purchased this a while back. Aesthetically it is pleasing but unfortunately it tore my poor betas fins to shreds! At first it didn't seem to cause a problem and felt smooth but after noticing my betas once beautiful fins shredded and what looked like a very unhappy beta, I removed it. Upon inspection I noticed the edges has become rough and sharp, a big no no in a beta fish tank if you want to keep them pretty. Promptly though it into the garbage.

This is a very nice, high quality fake plant for small fish tanks. It looks very realistic and is made from a pretty soft plastic. The ends are just a little pointy but no problem yet with my betta tearing his fins on them. It looks very nice in my betta bowl with the lucky bamboo that I already had in there. My fish likes the extra cover it provides and since I suction-cupped it to the side of the bowl, he is able to sit on top of it. If I bought this from a pet store I would have probably paid 8 to 9 dollars compared to the two dollars I paid on Amazon. Also, this is a small plant. It measures about four inches across and six to seven inches tall. This was the size I was expecting so I wasn't disappointed but don't expect it to fill a larger aquarium!

The suction cup holds well on glass, and the plant can be manipulated to hang off a wall or floor of a fish tank. The two main branches are bendable so you can sort of arrange where you want the plant to cover. There are a lot of leaves on this plant, providing a pretty thick screen. This, I imagine, would make a fish feel well hidden. However, the stems and leaves are stiff and the pointed tips are sharp. I placed it in a 5-gallon tank with 4 guppies and they hated it. One approached it, retreated and none of them would ever go anywhere near it again. I have the Marina Betta Kit plastic hair grass plant (bought from Amazon) that my guppies swim through, down into, and around with no hesitation. The hair grass is softer than the bamboo, with no sharp edges. So 3 stars because I think this plant will provide an effective screen for a shy fish, but no more than that because I know there are softer, safer plants available through Amazon.
