Its a durable rock that has held up. Functions normally and was a good price for what it is. My beardie loves this rock. Keeps him warm when he needs it. It can be hard to clean it up if he poops on it and it isnt gotten up quickly. A little water and a brush solves that tho.

I ordered this as a replacement for my northwest box turtle. The old heat rock was just big enough for Lil' Guy to fit on. I expected this rock would be about the same size because of the price. Well it's about 3X the size and my turtle loves it! The heat is good for reptile digestion and I noticed an increase in appetite after about 24 hours.Do pay attention to the heat level and regulate your scale baby to their unique safe amounts of basking times. In our case it seems to stay a nice warm, not overly hot. But tank thermometers are the best way to keep tabs on your overall terrarium environment.Some reptiles like the northwest box turtle need a certain amount each day without heat stimulation, to rest. So just keep watchful eyes on them and do your research. Overall, Lil' guy and I are very happy with the quality and value of this product.

Something is wrong with my rock. It worked fine until a couple days after the return window closed. Now all of a sudden, it gets so hot that you can't touch it without it burning you. I didn't know something was wrong until I noticed my dragon wasn't laying on it anymore (before, she wouldn't get off of it) and when I picked her up, I saw her entire underside was blistered. I had to remove it. I've bought these in the past and had no problems, but this one is defective for sure. And of course, the return window closed last week.

Came in 2 days!!! One of the last things i ordered for my dragon and it came first. Beautiful, in box, works perfect. Only issue is I bought the wrong size, a large is LARGE trust me lol medium is also pretty big, i got the medium and i just needed a small. So just look at the size of each before you buy :)

My uromastyx and bearded dragon LOVE this heated rock. I live in LA up in the hills, and when 30-high 20 degree weather hit I turn this guy on and they gravitate towards it. I notice my beardie lays near it while the uromastyx is the one who lays on it more out of the two types of lizards, probably because he needs higher heat levels.This is definitely not a good main source heat, but really nice to add something direct and allows them to "absorb" heat direct (I Guess you could say!)When it came in, little tiny pieces of the rock broke off, nothing major at all, but I would think heavier package for this product would be a good idea.Overall happy with it!
