Product arrived in the product packaging. The packaging seemed in okay shape. The fixture was in fine condition except it was a little loose on the hood from the ballast. The bulb seemed to be in fine shape except for it rattled when I installed it and noticed a piece of glass inside the bulb. When I plugged it in to test it with the bulbs it sizzled and crackled and failed to light up.

Upon looking at the box I wasn't impressed, but I was still excited for this light. I was getting it setup and ready to use when I tried screwing in the light into the socket. I decided to look closer and I couldn't believe it. The socket part to attach the bulb was nowhere to be found. This was not a cheap light combo. I would love for this to be fixed pronto

I have two of these. Both purchased in May 2020. They have been very reliable. They suggest changing the bulbs every 6-8 months due to loss of UVB but I have a UVB meter and the output has only dropped 10% since I bought them. And since they were consistent with a 100W bulb, they are still outputting more than their 70w rating. For those reviews saying the ballast died or started smoking, that’s user error during setup and installation causing that. I was tired of buying vapor bulbs that would pop every 2 months. These bulbs fit securely in the fixture and are built much sturdier than anything else out there.

DO NOT BUY! BUYER'S BEWARE! I bought this item a couple of weeks ago and decided to finally break it out of the box and get it set up. As soon as I clicked it on there was a popping sound and then a low ringing noise that lasted all night. I turned it off after a few hours and turned it on the next morning for my turtles. Within 30 seconds the unit started smoking HORRIBLY. Thank goodness it didn't trigger my smoke alarm. I would never recommend this item to anyone. It's dangerous. I'd I had turned it on and left, my house would be on fire. Do not buy this product!

Unfortunately I had to return this after one day of use. It worked for a few hours, and would not turn on the next day. I tried several different outlets and waited for five minutes and the lamp would still not turn on. Disappointed as this is a very expensive lamp and the light was ambient and really brightened the tank. Hope to find some thing else of this strength that actually works.

Je n’ai jamais écris de commentaires auparavant. Tout etait excellent! Et même plus que je ne l’espérais. Livraison rapide, produit de qualité, en superbe etat! Et c’est pas mal plus gros que je ne le pensais. .... MAIS, sur la douille de l’ampoule, il y avait un point de rouille à la soudure et un petite lousse quand je l’ai posé dans son socle la première fois....... RÉSULTAT: l’ampoule scintillait et silait.... J’ai attendu quelques secondes. Je l’ai éteint, enlevée et remis dans son socle.... Et plus rien! L’ampoule n’a jamais rallumée. C’était pour mes lezard désertique.

Ich habe die Lampe für mein 60x60x120 Terrarium mit Phelsuma Standingi und bin wirklich begeistert. Eine Lampe die alles vereint habe ich immer gesucht sie ist wirklich perfekt. Die Phelsumen haben bessere Farbe bekommen und das Licht reicht ganz locker bis unten ich brauche keine zusätzliche T5 Leuchte wie sonst bei anderen Strahlern. Die Wärme kommt oberhalb bis 38 Grad auf dem Wärmeplatz unterhalb ca 30 cm vom Boden gemessen liege ich bei 22,3 Grad. Für mich die perfekte Lampe meine Tiere fressen wieder gut der Hungerstreik ist vorbei seither diese Lampe leuchtet für mich eine klare Kauf Empfehlung !

I bought this for an 8'x4'x4' tegu enclosure, and just fired it up today. Seeing this in my tegu's new cage next door to the baby cage he's in with a mercury vapor light, the difference is stark. The mercury vapor bulb has a yellowish glow, but this? This is white sunlight. Walking into the room, where this shines out on the floor outside the cage looks like sunlight shining through a window. I can't wait to put my tegu under it! The upfront cost is definitely higher than more typical UV lights, but it's worth every penny.

Unfortunately, I had this lamp for only a few weeks before it made a popping noise one morning when I turned it on and both the lamp and the fixture were dead.It does cast lovely natural light but not much heat at all so it would certainly need to be partnered with a heat lamp or ceramic heat emitter to get your basking spot up to temperature. The other unfortunate issue is that it buzzes quite audibly. Combining this info with the fact that at least a few other reviewers are complaining about the UV levels dropping off way before the one year guarantee, I would say stick with a cheaper lamp or fluorescent UV tube and save yourself some frustration.
