Wow, this is one excellent security camera surveillance system in my opinion! It was relatively simple for me to install since I am huge electronics nerd lol and have worked with other similar products in times past. The video quality is excellent for both day and night, and the motion detection works well too. The wireless connectivity has also been very strong with no issues or signal drop out. I like that the recorder came with a built in 1 TB hard drive, and so far it has had plenty of capacity for my needs. I also like that the cameras have two-way audio capability to be able to communicate with someone near any particular location. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and therefore highly recommend it with five stars all the way!

If you do not want to run wires, this camera does a good basic job as a security system. Setup is really easy, just mount the camera, pretty much. I have pretty solid Wi-Fi that extends to the outside of my house pretty well, so the camera was able to pick up and record footage quite easily. If you have a choppy connection or thick walls, you might need to go with a wired camera system. 4MP is not too sharp compared to what is on the market, but it is able to capture all the essential information. Low-light footage is good; I use IR mode for nighttime. The system comes with a 1TB HD, which isn’t a lot. That probably lasted me around 2–3 days MAX of 24/7 recording with all four cameras.

These are perfect for anyone who needs more security around their home. Downloading the app and setting up the cameras was a breeze after getting the extension cords. Everything is seamless and I can access the feeds at any time. My whole family feels safer.

I’ve had stand alone security cameras before and some work better than others. What I’ve wanted was a decent NVR but those can cost quite a bit of money. Given that I’m not sure I’d like an NVR in general much less a desire to run ethernet cables all over my house to plug in most of these units. Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge fan of ethernet across my house for computers and every device that can use it. I’m just not feeling like I wanna crawl through my attic or in my crawl space followed by dangling from the end of a 30’ ladder mounting them. That left me with WIFI options and well not wanting to saturate the WIFI for the devices left using it. Since my stand alone camera’s haven’t been running well lately I decided I’d try an inexpensive NVR all in one. I found this unit and the price was right and ticked a number of the boxes I thought I’d give this a try.I knew this unit would be some compromises and I’m mitigating the WIFI portion by using an old dedicated 3X3 AC class router and keeping the network isolated for now. Since the camera’s only use 2.4G there is little advantage putting them on my main wireless network except maybe it’s 4X4 on that band. To my astonishment, all that was unnecessary. You see Zosi did you a favor and they allow you to setup this NVR without being connected to the internet, no app needed, nothing really besides what is in the box (other than a monitor). They even included a wired mouse and an HDMI cord to connect to the previously mentioned monitor. Setup the first time was pretty painless, turned on each camera one slowly after another and all 4 were recognized and assigned a number. I mounted 2 of them up and with some tweaking they were working. For about 2 days and then I decided to install the 3rd in my garage. Everything went as expected and I got it lined up the way I wanted etc etc. After getting off my ladder I went back to the NVR and saw it was black on the screen. In a matter of 60 seconds of a walk that camera decided to deep six. When plugged in I could hear the shutter click like it turned on but there was no voice saying trying to connect. In the dark the IR lights never turned on, nothing. At this point camera 2 at my back door also started flickering in and out on a rhythmic like repeatable schedule. Throughout all of this process my signal was always very very weak on all cameras.I reached out to Zosi customer service and to their credit they were more helpful than I expected them to be. Emails were an overnight exchange but a response was always there the next morning. Even during the weekends. I tried and tested things for nearly a week and nothing worked. Then near the end my 2nd camera stopped flickering and died just like camera 3 then camera 1 started flickering. At this point I requested a replacement from Amazon. I think this first one was just a bad batch because the new kit worked well out of the gate. While the signal is not great it is better than the first unit.Installation of these should be straightforward but this is one of my biggest gripes with this kit. The mounting base and antenna size are almost completely incompatible. For my usage, especially at the front door the antennas included were just not going to cut it. They simply got in the way. For one of the cameras I needed to trim the antenna pivots and the metal on the ball joint. These mounts are simply not the right ones for these cameras and they really limit your mounting options. Another camera I needed to order some 12” antenna extension cables and mount them off to the side. In the end though you are still fighting a battle because these have a pretty weak signal they’re trying to communicate with back to the NVR. Ultimately the only way I was able to get 1 of the cameras to connect was to find the WIFI band (used a phone scanner) with the strongest signal and least interference. For me that is channel 9. For now the second kit is still working but I’ve only got 2 cameras hooked up for now.Things I like:Stand alone setup and usage, does not need internet access except for remote app viewingEverything aside from a monitor is includedNVR interface is simple but has enough options to get byHard drive is upgradable if you order the small 1TB kit like I did.Customer service was engaged and responsiveThings I didn’t like so much:The NVR firmware locks out many features other models have. The big one for me is this NVR is access point only. That means the cameras ONLY are able to communicate with the base station. There is no option to make 1 connect to your local WIFI and then into the NVR. So you truly are limited to the range of the base station/camera and that is The antennas on the camera’s are big and get in the way with almost any mounting angle. The ball socket mounting setup doesn’t give as many options as you would think.Base station beep is VERY loud (I guess good if you want an alarm) but if the NVR reboots and it’s 3 in the morning it you’ll not appreciate it. I may de-solder the buzzer if this happens often.I’ll try to update the status longer term if anything changes with the unit but so far it’s working the way I need it to.

Thisis a good camera system. It seems all i had to do was plug everything in and the cameras were already set up to the box. I was able to connect my monitor by hdmi and it came with a usb mouse to control the interface. The video feed layout can be set up to display 1, 2, up to all of the cameras and the video quality is great. The monitor is able to display the video feed without any noticeable lag/delay.i did and do have issues setting up the app, though. connecting the my router always fail. Neither my phone, nor any of my tablets were able to set this up so that i may check out my cameras remotely. i wont blame this system too much but if i can not figure it out, i will come back to remove another star and update my review.

This is a 8 channel camera system with NVR. This is a good security camera system choice. It haas the ability to run wirelessly with the exception of needing a power plug. It can also be run solely on ethernet cable as well. The cameras have a nice sharp and clear quality for 4MP. It has spotlight, siren alert and 2 way talk with app control. This system is 24 hour recording with 1TB storage capacity. It has mostly all the features you need in a single system. Id say its a good system for the value and features it offers.

The ZOSI security system offers excellent video quality, color night vision, and reliable AI detection. The 2-way audio and siren alert add great functionality, and the 1TB HDD is perfect for 24/7 recording. However, setup took some effort and wasn’t as easy as I expected for DIY. Once installed, though, it works flawlessly. Highly recommend for its performance!

Gave 3 stars cuz two of the 4 Cameras stopped working after 2 weeks. However the remaining cameras work great. It would be nice if they sold replacements but none are available.
