Extend the power and ground wires:

0.82 mm² (18 AWG) or larger wire

Extend the NMEA 0183 or alarm wires:

0.33 mm² (22 AWG) wire.

Connecting the Wiring Harness to Power and Device:

1. Connect the power cable to the device, and turn the locking ring clockwise to tighten it.

2. Connect the red wire to the positive (+) battery terminal, and connect the black wire to the negative (-) battery terminal.

Can't use it. The snap-on connector doesn't properly thread onto the plotter. The cable functions only if you hold it in place with your hands.Unfortunately, it was a few months before I used the cable and discovered this problem.

Connector sockets recessed and will not contacts pins on Echomap cradle. This is the replacement cable for one that had the same issue. Compared connector to one provided by Garmin to confirm the issue. Suspect an issue with the lot of cables provided by this manufacturer.
