Died after less than one year. The thermometer registers 40 degrees, no matter what!

Although this is a good looking and mostly readable dial thermostat, it could not accurately read high and lows and or fluctuations in temperature.I calibrated it several times to a good spirit thermometer. Product was off as much as 10 degrees F. however you calibrated it.I would recalibrate to the high and the low was off 10 degrees and vice-versa.I would try to half the adjustment to 5 degrees hoping it was a breaking in process - no such luckIt was never accurate - needle sometimes failing to move at allThe 'glass' fogged over in high humidity, making dial very difficult to read.The thermometer came with an instruction sheet advising how to adjust and gave an email to contact for questions or additional instructions. I sent an email and never got a response.AVOID this product. Mine was Junk and was returned to Amazon.

This temperature gauge is pretty and looks nice hanging on my fence. It is lightweight plastic. It has been consistently 8-10 degrees off though.

Product arrived on time and looks great. The accuracy is occasionally a bit suspect which is the only reason it didn't get 5 stars. I have compared its temperature readings with a spare Honeywell home thermostat I had on hand that I know to be super accurate. It compares reasonabley well, within a degree or so most of the time. Very occasionally it seems to be several degrees off but after a few hours it falls back in line so perhaps it takes a while acclimatizing. The thermometer is easy to calibrate. I have my doubts about how weather-proof it is based on some reviews I've read here so I installed it under the house eave. (Don't install any bi-metal thermometer in direct sunlight.) So far so good. Also got an email from the importer vowing to stand behind their product - this was a surprise and a nice touch of customer service that is appreciated. Would recommend it!

This thermometer is great. I've got it on a fence facing the kitchen window. It mounts easily on a nail - and is easy to read. There is a small gadget on the back to calibrate the temperature if that's necessary. I find the temperature reading to be very accurate. My only problem is one I created for myself: The instructions warn against placing the thermometer in direct sunlight. But I was so determined to place it directly across from the kitchen window it does get a couple hours of direct sunlight in the afternoon that throws off the temperature reading. But, it's worth it to have a thermometer that has a classy enclosure and otherwise a very accurately reported temperature.

The thermometer arrived promptly, well packaged and working accurately right out of the box. We have it hanging on our enclosed outdoor porch this winter and with the recent frigid winter temperatures, it seems to be working very well. I like the simple, streamlined look of this model. It is exactly what I wanted in an outdoor thermometer - large and easy to read from inside the house. I would highly recommend it.

This thermometer is well made and looks good. Mounted it in a fairly shady area of my back yard. Compared with an instant read digital thermometer and it was very close. Slight adjustment and good to go. Easy to read from a distance. This instrument is very industrial versus aesthetic looking but that is my preference. The metal construction gives enhances the quality feeling.
