I returned this item. The electric motor emanated a burning smell at first use. The on-off switch operated about 75% of the time.

J ai reussi a sabler un mur et le moteur a commencé a ralentir et pour complètement arrêter , et a commencé a faire des flamèche au niveau du moteur , j ai passer l équivalent de 3 papier sablé, domage , ca me sauvait beaucoup de temps

THe machine machine held is own. Worked well with a shop vac. I did texture ceilling which was very hard to sand. Needed heavier sanding paper. MY COMPLAINT is that in receiving the box ( in good condition ) a lot of the piece were missing ei oring, spare brush, ect. THe only option was to return to amazon and wait for two or three more weeks. I didn't had the time. So i kept it ! Whish someone would contact me ! Otherwise it would of been a five star !

Motor burnt out within the first 10 minutes, started smoking and smelled horrible. They have sent a new one already, if it is better I will change my review.

Instruction manual is very limited on its information. Does not show how to remove front guard so you can get in close to the corners. Does not show how to adjust vacuum control. Does not explain what the return spring is for or where to connect it. Print in the owners manual is extremely small. Even with reading glasses it was hard to read. The sander works well. It did not come with 100 grit only 180 and 240.
