Great dehydrator. Wonderful beef jerky and banana chips

This dehydrator is outstanding and perfect for families serious about food storage. It is significantly larger than needed for those who occasionally dehydrate a few tomatoes or make a few batches of jerky each year. If you are only a sporadic user or dehydrate occasionally for one or two people, a smaller and more affordable dehydrator would be more efficient.This model is suitable for a family of about six people. However, if you have a larger family or plan to do a substantial amount of dehydrating, a commercial dehydrator would be a better fit, or you could simply invest in multiple units of this dehydrator.In terms of performance, this dehydrator is energy efficient and does not increase our electric bill, even when used for extended periods. It is built for frequent use and can operate for long hours without issue. I have encountered no problems at all with it.The front-loading system works exceptionally well, allowing easy access to check individual trays—this is particularly handy when dehydrating different food items simultaneously. Like most dehydrators, the bottom trays dry faster than the middle trays. The glass front-loading door makes it easy to monitor progress without opening the unit, which helps maintain temperature and heat.The adjustable temperature feature and the 24-hour timer are significant advantages. Overall, I have not found any negatives with this dehydrator. The product description and photos are accurate, and it arrived in two days without any issues. I would definitely get this dehydrator again.

This dehydrator is the nicest one we have seen! We will be using it ASAP as we are very much into the idea of preserving and keeping food viable, especially if the grid goes out. So you can bet that this item will be well used. There are a lot of things you can do with one of these, now it's off to look for a book or two on Amazon. We have a smaller dehydrator, but wanted this one because we are really into preserving food as much as possible. And this one is the "king of kings" as dehydrators go. You may be surprised at what you can do with this one! An excellent and necessary appliance!

I really like the size of this, the interior is quite room without all the shelves, it has several options, you can even make yogurt with it I read, It fairly easy to clean and operate. I would mention that the metal is kind of sharp along the edges, and I the latch to close it seems a little cheap. Overall for the price, this is a nice unit.
