About this item

  • 【Please Note】 LED Transformer 12V AC Input 110-220 Volt, 50~60Hz, constant voltage DC output: 12V, output current: 8.3 Ampere. Maximum load: 100W watts. Dimensions: 5.4 x 2 x 0.88 inch (138 x 50 x 22.5mm)
  • 【Easy to Install】The input and output ports are designed separately with clear markings, and the simple parallel wiring makes installation very straightforward and safe
  • 【Excellent Heat Dissipation】Featuring an ultra-thin aluminum casing with honeycomb ventilation holes for superior heat dissipation, and a thickened high-quality glass fiber circuit board, ensuring a longer lifespan for the power supply
  • 【Safe and Reliable】The LED 12V transformer features a reliable internal circuit that offers protection against overvoltage, overload, high temperature, overcurrent, and short circuits. It is compact, has strong heat dissipation, and is easy to conceal
  • 【Tips & Tricks】The power usage should not exceed 80% of the power supply's capacity; in other words, choose a power supply that is 20% larger than the rated power of the lamp. A larger transformer will not damage the lamp, but it is beneficial for safety

This AC to DC 12V 8.3A regulated power supply is nice. It seems well made with 2 DC outputs. Tested at 12V 5A with no problem (I don't have any load to drive it above 5A)

I got this power supply to use with an 8A linear actuator, which is pretty close to its described maximum and probably way more than it should have been designed for once you factor in the inrush current for the motor. Not only does it work well, with no heat buildup, but it manages to power three relays, a microcontroller board and the actuator at the same time with no sign of strain. It's impressively small for its power output and looks really good in a well designed and elegant case.

Price was good for a small 12 volt power supply but not any where close to the 8.3 amps claimed. No load the supply outputs a 12.29 volts with a peak to peak 300 mV but when any more than 2.5 amps are applied the voltage starts to drop out below 12 volts and the peak to peak noise goes up quite a bit to 800 mV. Would be fine for a small load of less than 30 watts but if you need more than look at something bigger.
