I was looking for some type of motion alarm for my garage as I don't have a security cam for there and came across this item offered through the Amazon Vine program and decided to order it.When the item arrived I removed everything from its box. There was the alarm itself, a remote control, USB cord, mounting stand, small Philips screwdriver, mounting hardware and a instruction pamphlet.The unit will run via the included 5' long USB cord and also run off 2 AAA batteries. I chose the battery option. I added the mounting stand to the back. It takes some effort to actually get it into it slot then I went to the garage to find a good location for it. Once I found the location I mounted the stand and attached the alarm. Once that was done I set up my pass key and other setting then I activated the alarm. Remember to mount this where you can reach the 3 digit keypad or mount it high and use the remote only to turn it on and off. Once the alarm was set I tested it out. It actually has a fairly wide pick and long pick up area to detect motion. Once I triggered it the alarm sounded and this thing is loud. Once I entered my key pass it shut off immediately. Make sure you follow the instructions in the manual for proper set up.My impression of this item is it is very effective at picking up motion, has a extremely loud alarm and will definitely work as a deterrent for most situations not to mention has a very small footprint. I can also see it been used a deterrent for animals that you don't want on your property but I would make sure your neighbour is aware of it.If you are looking for something to work as a alarm I highly recommend this unit.

This alarm is super loud, which is what you want to deter someone. We're using it in the carport as that's where our house door is. This alerts us if anyone walk into our carport at night. The downside is that it also goes off when a racoon or possum goes through the carport, and it is loud. So I'm trying to figure out a solution forvthat. I'll probably mount it higher. It takes 2 batteries so you don't need to plug it in. Overall a useful security gadget.

Works well, and the design is fairly easy and simple to use. I just use the buttons on the unit (too easy to misplace remote). The triggered report made my partner jump; the alarm sound quality would surely scare away a potential thief from our garage. It's small enough to hide easily. I used a common phone charger 5 volt/.5 amp to connect the supplied charge cord, so no worry about battery life.

I found this Mosaic alarm after another home-alarm product I like doubled the price on that product to $30 each, just as I was planning to buy more (Don't you just hate that? Messes up your whole plan). Anyway, greed was a blessing in disguise because it allowed me to discover this remote motions sensor alarm. And at about $20 each as of this writing, let me tell you... THIS is the product that you want supplementing a traditional home security system. It's superior to the other more expensive unit, and I'd buy multiples of this one instead if they were available (especially if offered at a discount to allow putting them in more places). The security system in my home has motion detectors and window and door sensors, but there are still areas where it is nice to have extra coverage just for peace of mind (but you can't put a motion detector everywhere without considerable expense). This little alarm helps with that.If this unit is placed within range, the motion detector is sensitive, and the alarm is loud and ... alarming! It functions very well - just read the directions to set it up properly with a code and know how much time you'll have to de-active it. You don't need a code, though; you can simply use the remote if you choose not to create one. If you choose to mount the unit (so you wouldn't be able to enter a code easily anyway), the remote works well, too. There are only two options, though I can see it being harder to get the buttons on the remote to work (needing to push down harder and more frequently) as time goes on. It's functional, but I don't see the remote being long-term durable. Perhaps there are replacements available through the manufacturer.The unit seems intimidating at first, but it's actually very easy to operate. Just turn it on and get out of the way. The cat and my husband are both freaked out by it/scared to trip it. No one is getting past the "blind spots" in a traditional security system with this little alarm around. The directions with my unit mentioned that this maker's alarms could be programmed together; if that truly works, even better. This one is worth the purchase. A very good buy.

I purchased this alarm with the purpose to notify if my son gets out to the patio but I tried this with my dog as well and worked incredibly well.The alarm sensor comes well packed with the fob (remote) and the mounting accessories with it. The alarm sensor does not include batteries so you need two alkaline AAA size ones. The remote comes with a coin cell battery already installed, but you need to open the battery compartment to remove the plastic tab for the first time use.The instructions from the manual provide you very detailed steps on how to operate the device, it has the capability power with the ubc-c cable in addition of the batteries and to have multiple fobs and link more sensors but this was not tested, the range tested between the fob and the alarm was around 20 meters and the alarm sensor to the moving target was about 8 meters.It also comes with a usb-c cable as alternative power.One feature I like is that you can activate /deactivate without the fob as well set a pin code and can be installed in a wall with the included hardware or just placing in top of a table as I have it.As per user manual, the device has 3 yr warranty but you need to register the product, it provides you instructions on how to do so. And an email for support.Its very easy to use and setup, just make sure to read the manual, it will take you just few minutes.Very recommended.

I just came back from a trip to Hawaii. I brought this product with me. When I slept in the hotel, I turned it on and hung it on the door handle. Although nothing unpleasant happened, I felt very safe with it protecting me. How do I know it is good? That's because one night when I went to the bathroom, I touched the wrong door handle and it moved. Since it has motion sensors, it made a loud sound. Although this was a personal accident, I like this product very much. It is really a must-have for travel.
