We are using this in a duck pool where the muck is deep and thick!! We have to empty it every week or so because it gets full of waste, leaves, mud and debris. Our previous pump would clog, and we would have to clear it frequently. This pump's screen never clogged even once. It sucked all the water out in just a few min.It came with the attachments to hook it up to a hose or tube your choice.I am very pleased with it.

This 1/3HP pool cover pump feels solid and well-built — it’s definitely not flimsy. I put it to use right after a big rain, and it cleared the standing water off my pool cover much faster than my old pump ever did. The automatic sensor switch works like a charm, kicking on and off at just the right water level (around an inch), so I don’t have to keep checking on it.The long 25-foot cord is a huge plus, giving me plenty of reach to plug it in and still position it easily over the pool cover. The wide base keeps it steady during operation, and the handle makes moving it around simple. It’s quick to set up, drains water efficiently, and definitely makes opening the pool in summer far less of a hassle.What’s great is that it’s not limited to pool use — it could easily serve as a backup sump pump for a basement or help empty a rain barrel or small pond. Overall, it’s a reliable, versatile tool that’s well worth the money if you want to save time and reduce effort when dealing with unwanted water.

I was excited when this arrived because it seems solid; more like a different brand pool cover pump I've used for years. We have an in ground pool with an electric safety cover and now that the rain has temporarily stopped and it's warmer I started the laborious process of scrubbing the cover. I thought I'd be able to use this at one end and my other trusty pump at the other end while I hosed off the cover.I used the adapter to attach a garden hose and the pump runs but doesn't have enough oomph power to push it through the hose. I have a spout that I attached to make sure the pump was pumping and it is. But using the spout the pump just blows it onto the pool deck. Attached to the hose the pump just runs and runs but nothing happens. No water comes out of the hose.

This pump is powerful and easy to use. It seems solidly constructed and assembly was a snap. I look forward to using it for a bigger job than just the pool cover. As it is, this pump gets the water level down to millimeters in depth - essentially all of the water. In terms of flow rate/volume, the water races out of the end of the hose, making the jobs I have used it for a breeze.

Seems like a well functioning pump for a pool cover. A bit heavier, larger, and louder than the one I was using that is more standard. But this one has more power, seems to go faster, and I like the larger face and less clogging when you get to the pollen and random debris that collects on the cover. The cord is also long which is a plus for anyone with a longer distance to the outlet, so I don't need the extension cord anymore!

We used this pump to remove the water from on top of our pool cover and then again to drain our koi pond to clean it. It works incredibly fast and is super easy to get going. We will use this next year when we drain the pool to replace the liner.

This pool cover pump has worked well for me so far during rainy days. The sensor is very good at picking up water levels and starting the pump automatically.It moves alot of water quickly and helps keep the pool cover from sagging too much. The 25 foot power cord is long enough to reach the outlet without any problem.It is easy to set up and does not need alot of adjusting once it is running. I also used it for a rain barrel once and it cleared the water without any issues.The pump feels solid and it has handled steady use without getting clogged. Overall it has been a reliable tool to have for both the pool and yard work.
