About this item

  • 【Product Dimension】-- Thread Dia: M3; Pitch: 0.5mm; Overall Size: 4mm x 5mm/ 0.16" x 0.20"(LxOD).
  • 【Quality Material】-- Our threaded inserts are made of high quality brass material, high hardness and durable, which ensures optimum corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity; oblique thread knurling pattern, not easy to deform.Straight heat-set inserts install into mounting surfaces and create a female-threaded hole. They are designed to sit flush with the mounting surface for snag-free applications.
  • 【Easy to Use】-- Heat-set threaded inserts, also known as ultrasonic inserts, install into plastics and other thermally deformable materials using heat to secure themselves in place. They can be installed using an ultrasonic insert tool, soldering iron, or a similar heat-generating tool. As they are installed, the heat melts the mounting surface around the insert and then cools and solidifies, locking the insert in place.
  • 【Package Includes】-- Each package includes 150 insert nuts with M3 internal thread, there is enough quantity here to meet your needs for connecting numerous 3D printing accessories, and transparent plastic boxes are provided for storage.
  • 【Widely Application】--These inserts are suitable for all thermoplastic materials, such as PLA, ABS, PETG, etc; and can also be applied to 3D printers, electrical injection molding, automotive or laptop molding plastic shells.

My FIRST Tech challenge team loves these. We use them to create 3D printed parts that can be bolted on to our robot. They can be pulled out but only under extreme torque. They have been very easy to use and help us create solid reliable parts.

These are a good assortment of high-quality threaded inserts. I use them with my heat setting tool and they've been flawless so far and the threads are cut well.

These feel just as sturdy and of good quality as any other threaded inserts I've used. They fit perfectly with the M3x10 bolts that I have. If you need some M3 threaded inserts and the price of these at the time you buy is similar to any others or cheaper, this would be a safe purchase.

These inserts have taken small prints to the next level for me. I have had a project for making my own 3d printed 2ds shell for better grips and these inserts took the most annoying part away for me. I ended up getting some brass m2 screws and bringing it into the design. It gave the entire thing an industrial look and the inserts actually stay instead of ripping out like the previous prints. I have so many more ideas to try now that I can make screw assemblies to hold parts together.

I use threaded inserts for many of my 3D prints, and these are comparable with the ones I have from other brands. These worked well and it's a great way to secure prints and parts together. I don't use it for things that needs a lot of force, since plastic will be the first to give anyway, so I can't comment on how well it'll hold, but it works good for my use cases.

A small box with a large number of tiny M2 heat-set inserts. If you're a maker putting things together with M2 screws, this is a useful purchase. No frills, just the inserts.
