Great connector to securely fasten multiple wires. When you want to fasten several wires together, securely, with little chance of of the connection becoming a heat generating high resistance defect. It also securely holds several wires together minimizing the chance of one or more becoming detached. Especially helpful when you need to stuff the connections into a small electrical box. Get some before you need them, so a simple retrieval from your electrical storage spot saves the day.

This 6awg wire nut kit will be used for an electrical project I have coming up. The wire nuts are brass with stainless steel grub screws and are nicely machined with good threading. The kit also comes with 15 pieces of heat shrink to wrap the connections with. The 6awg wires fit snugly in the nuts, and the grub screws lock them down well. I considered tinning the ends of the wires to get a tighter crush on them with the grub screws, but I think that might not allow me to get the grub screws flush with the body of the nuts. If, the grub screws are proud of the nuts, it may create a pressure point against the heat shrink and electrical tape I'll wrap them with, possibly puncturing the insulating wraps and causing issues down the road. I will try a test run of this and see what happens.My only complaint is that there are supposed to be 60 grub screws, and I only received 59 in the kit. I will go and purchase the missing 4mm grub screw, as it would be more trouble to send the kit back. I give this 6awg wire nut kit 3 stars, only because of the aggravation and time wasted procuring another grub screw to replace the missing one. It's a small thing, but it's one of my personal peeves when I don't receive all of the hardware I'm supposed to in a kit.
