We use this and other Ryobi plus tools while camping. I had to buy a second one because my husband and I kept fighting over the one we had. We can charge our phones while sitting at the campfire, or power a speak for music for our big circle of friends who camp with us. We just change out the batteries as needed. So easy.

Perfect addition to my Ryobi tools. Excellent when camping to use to power pumps, recharge phone and laptop. Highly recommended.

I love this product. I use a Ryobi drill for my ice auger and the inverter for the lights in my ice hut. One 4 AH 18 Volt battery is good for everything.

Have to hold power button a few seconds to turn unit on and off. Unit gets warn quickly powering a small air cleaner via USB power source. Yet to test out the AC outlet. I am a bit disappointed comparing to the other Ryobi products, especially with the high price.

Pretty handy for just about anything; took it camping, also it when our power went out. The length of how long it runs depends on which battery you use, but with a 1.5Ah battery, charging my laptop brought it from 30%-100% in an hour and stayed at 100 for about another hour, this was while I was playing beamNg drive which is a pretty power hungry game for a laptop. It also powers a angle grinder, (using the 4Ah) BUT it was a variable speed grinder so starting from the lowest i got it up to level 8/10 before it shut off, so as long as your tool doesn’t take a huge amount of power starting up it’ll work with most power tools. Using a 15W charger (and the 1.5Ah battery) I was able to keep my phone charged for a 12 hour car ride before it died, so overall it is worth the price, plus it won’t take your battery to completely 0% which kills your batteries life.

The one I received looks a bit different than the photo but it works great! I was able to charge my phone and tablet simultaneously. I have two batteries so I was able to use it for the entirety of the trip.

Recently had a stay where I was in a location and outlets were not easy to get to. I was able to have a friend hand me in the 18V batteries that were fully charged so that way I could have two backups of the 18V either 6Amh or 7Amh, then another one plugged into this power source to power all my electronics and for 12 days it worked like a charm.Honestly this is great for camping - especially if you're only going to charge at night. I would say bring a battery a night to easy fully charge most of your electronics (I'm talking 2+ cellphones plus a tablet/laptop) and you should be mostly set. If you're using the electronics more regularly then maybe pad those numbers a bit (I currently have 6+ of these 18V 6Amh+ batteries) so if I needed to go off the grid to get some work done for two days and two nights I'd just bring all of them and they'd last me probably until the last day.Great buy. Would highly recommend.

Living in Guam, we tend to have power issues a lot, plus the occasional typhoon comes through. We recently had our worst typhoon in 20 years and power was out for the whole island. I had received this about a week prior, before the typhhon had even been named. What luck. ALl of my tools are Ryobi, so I have like 12 batteries and a 6 pack charger. When we lost power (which ended up being close to 11 days), we were able to keep our cell phones and tablets / ipads charged. Our cell company maintained service, so at least we were able to contact folks, track recovery status and provide some entertainment. My work place had a generator for the building, so I was able to recharge the batteries there. The lights and operation were pretty straight forward once I realized when you initially turned it on, you had to hold the power button and wait for the inverter to power up. first few times I didn't hold long enough and though the battery was too low. I didn't get into too much testing in terms of other appliances, items (except my Kurig, which was too big a load)This is small, light portable, and if you already have a supply of Ryobi batteries, a no brainer.

Just got this after we went through a long term power outage during Hurricane Ian. I have several 18v Ryobi tools, rapid chargers and 3 - 4ah batteries, and 2 - 3ah batteries. Our power went out early in the evening as the storm approached. Our local TV station was simulcasting on several AM stations, so we were not completely without the news. However, we had really wished we had TV to view. It was still storming, so the generator could not be dragged out in the rain and started. It got me to thinking that maybe Ryobi had an option. Sure enough, they do and this thing is one of the best options. After the fact, I went ahead and ordered this with the hopes I can at least run my TV off it. I have a 32 inch insignia TV that requires 26 watts in energy saving mode. We were able to keep this TV running for just slightly over 2 hours on a 4ah battery. This plus my lumin aid lights should keep me running through a storm long enough to get to the other side where we can get the generator out and running.I may even go grab another couple of Ryobi batteries. Or wait until the next ryobi days to grab a couple more with another free tool :)
