I can use it with air or without. It takes any kind of disks and I have from 80 to 3000 grit. My work is really well sanded with this little beauty.

A nice dual action sander for the tight areas yes. Dual action is the only way to go for a nice finish. What I have found is although it preforms well, the small sanding discs cannot handle the max rpm for long. You need to back off on the speed. Other than that it works well.

The item description states "Includes fine, medium and coarse 2'' sanding discs". I only received 2 sanding disc, both were 140 grit. I was hoping to get through 1 project without needing to go out and find sanding disc, not even enough to get started. Spend your money on a kit that will set you up better.
