For the purpose of weed eating my lawn, these are functional and work well for me. I am short, therefore, they're a bit too long on me, but I found that I could roll them down to my knees and shorten their length. They are two different colors, and are not heavy weighted, or necessarily thick, but more of a medium weight and thickness. They do protect my legs as expected.

yeah, i dont think this is going to protect much on my husbands leg. he cant even get it close to his knee, theyre too small. they fit my leg but even still, they are so thin that you still feel everything being thrown at you. they smell horrible and need to be aired outside before you bring them in and they are just not made well. putting one on yesterday and one ripped already. i cant suggest these for what they intend it for.. but if you need to keep your arm protected it fits an arm much better than a leg. smells like a water float toy.
