I often find myself in precarious situations when I go off-roading, shooting, and just exploring out in the desert. I have already had a few close encounters with rattlesnakes, and I feel much more comfortable wearing a pair of snake gaiters when I go out far from civilization. I am 6'2", and my inseam length is 34", and these fit me well. There is plenty of room for adjustment, and they ride at a good height for comfortability. The lower leg sections feel a bit stiff, but I see that as reassurance that I'm protected from a bite. The camo color is done well, and it helps blend with any of my gear with other camo or solid patterns. Overall, a great functioning product with a good fit and look.

These gaiters arrived in just two days after ordering, and we’re in perfect condition. Unlike a previous set I had ordered, that also claimed to be snake gaiters, these are much more substantial and give me great hope that no rattlesnake will be able to puncture these thigh high gaiters. As they are a bit more substantial than my previous set, they do tend to lock in some heat. That said, I’m not sure how you could easily ventilate a set of gaiters. These are heavy duty and are built to handle, not just snakes, but terrain as well. For as sturdy as they are, I was surprised at the freedom of movement I had at my knee. This is really an outstanding purchase and perfectly built for what it was meant for. If I encounter problems with workmanship or materials, I will certainly update my review. For now, it’s a definitely recommend.

I ordered these after several bites to the legs from a feral cat!I’ve been looking for something to protect my legs that went higher than boots! Found it with these!I really like the material! I am not sure about snakes but the cat bites are not getting through these!I like the added protection on the front! And the cats like rubbing on them! These are a bit tricky getting on! They are also clunky when walking with them!Overall they are the protection I needed at a decent price!

I got these gators delivered recently and I must say, they are pretty good quality for the price point. They were well packaged when delivered, I opened up the box and they are in there laying basically flat. Proceeded to put them on as I was headed out to the woods anyway. It takes a little bit to get them on and adjusted correctly for your individual size. I'm 5'11" 215lbs, guy and these fit fine. I got these gators with the intent to use while trout fishing in mountainous areas along river banks. These gators seem well made. The cordura material is fairly thick and water resistant, I love the big pockets on the sides. These offer an extra level of protection and extra peace of mind from various things nature could be offering. I'm an outdoor enthusiasts that appreciates functional products at a reasonable price. Thanks for reading my review.

I picked these up for both my suburban and rural properties, and overall, I’m really happy with them. The sizing chart was mostly accurate—I did measure my legs before ordering, and technically I was within the listed dimensions. What I didn’t think to do was measure while wearing the pants I’d actually use these with. That made a difference. They fit fine on my lower legs with jeans and boots, but wouldn’t go comfortably over my thighs with pants on.I ended up taking them to a seamstress, who removed the back seam and added adjustable buckle straps. Now they fit perfectly regardless of what pants I’m wearing, and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. If you’re close to the top of the sizing chart, I’d highly recommend doing your measurements with the pants you’ll be wearing—especially if they’re thick like jeans or hiking pants.Functionally, these gaiters are solid. I use them in my backyard near a lake where we occasionally get copperheads and other snakes. While I try to be proactive about making noise and giving snakes time to move away, having an extra layer of protection gives me peace of mind. They’re also incredibly useful on a rural property I visit a few times a year, which is overrun with briar vines and brush. These gaiters are thick enough that nothing pokes through—something even tough jeans couldn’t always manage.Comfort-wise, they’re excellent. I’ve worn them for several hours at a stretch, walking and working, and never felt restricted. They move with me, and I don’t feel overheated or weighed down. Compared to my basic boot-height gaiters, these offer much more comprehensive protection, not just from snakes but also from thorns, rough plants, and general wildlife hazards.Aside from the sizing hiccup (which a simple modification fixed), I think these gaiters are a fantastic investment. I’ll be getting plenty of use out of them both at home and when traveling to my other property. Just be sure to measure carefully—and include your pants in the equation!

I've tried out the extended gaiters a few times and they seem to be built pretty well and of good quality. The rubber instep strap is nice and thick so hopefully it withstands the test of time. The extended portion comes up the thigh with a pocket on each, that is a handy addition.Once adjusted to your dimensions, they're not too bad to get in/out of and they don't feel any more cumbersome then you'd expect for something that's supposed to protect you from snake bites. Depending upon the shoes/boots you wear, you may need to take them off to more easily fit your foot through the top section.I plan to use these for dual purpose, whether it's roaming the untamed wilds out the back door or trying to manage said wilds (weed whacking and clearing brush), I think they will serve their purpose well. Not that I've had a snake on hand this season to pit them against as yet.
