This is a niche wheel for the bench grinder. I think using these on a die grinder as they suggest, though possible, isn't a great idea because they're too big. If you haven't seen something like this before, the material is like a firm scouring pad you'd use in the kitchen. So it's abrasive, but pretty gentle at the same time. You'd never use these for heavy duty work, it's like they suggest, for polishing or burnishing metal. I can't imagine why you'd use this on wood. If the metal is soft, it will remove light scratches. They're handy to have if you do work with copper or brass. The cost is reasonable, I'm glad I have them, and since I don't use them that often, they're going to last for a while.
