When we purchased our table it had a light kit where the umbrella goes through the table. The light stopped working so we discarded. This left us with a hole larger than our umbrella pole. We were using a section of pool noodle until I found this. It looks so much nicer than the purple pool noodle! It is very stable on windy days. Love it!

I can fit the umbrella into the opening, but the fit is so tight that it's impossible to slide it down the pole. My pole diameter is 1.5 inches as stated in the description. Also the description is misleading. It says 2, but I think they're referring to the piece you use to cover the table hole when you're not using the umbrella.

Super easy to put on. Maybe i didn't push down all the way. Umbrella wobbles. Just Ordered another for the bottom as well (to connect into base). Hope that solves wobbling -

This wedge is made out of real rubber not a cheaper plastic that can break off. When sliding it onto the umbrella it may seem to be too small in diameter. We simply squirted a little liquid soap on the umbrella pole and the umbrella wedge slid on easily! Our umbrella is now very sturdy in our table and base. We are very happy with this product and highly recommend it!

Where has this gadget been my entire life. At least four glass top tables I have lost over the years from wind and the umbrella kicking the table over. Well we had a tropical storm/tornados touched down in my area this week my umbrella went nowhere, nor did my table My umbrella base pole was a little too big to fit but I took a small hacksaw and cut it in half and put it around my umbrella pole. It fit into the opening for the table perfectly... It fits snug and allows NNOOOOO WIIGGLE!!! i’m thrilled and for all of you people that say that this does not fit your umbrella pole just cut it you will not be sorry!!!! I no longer run to put my umbrella down over the slightest breeze

My table has a hole that's 1-15/16" (1.9375") in diameter. The description says this item works with a hole as small as 1.9", but just the very tip of the cone fit in the hole. There's no way it would have provided ANY stability at all. So I took a grinding tool, and spent a lot of time grinding the rubber to make it fit more securely in the hole. Note, too, that if your umbrella has a pole that's 1.5" in diameter, this cone will fit VERY snugly - once it's on the pole, you may not be able to move it or remove it, unless you spray it with a bunch of silicone.
