These plugs have a strong and well designed case but the metal terminals inside are quite thin and flimsy. Wouldn't use them for anything thicker than a 14 gauge wire...

Sturdily built, economical and a comfortable size but..... It is very difficult to terminate stranded wire (14/16/18 ga) to the contacts. The screw is small, there isn't much space to wind the wire around it and it tends to squeeze the wire off of the contact. No room for lugs. I carefully tinned the wire just a little to bend a lug type end. Almost no way to strain relief the feed wire. If it is big enough in diameter, the shell is tight around it but it still pulls on the contacts vs a built in strain relief. The socket terminals are loose where the plug terminals are molded into the unit. These issues could cause a safety problem if not done carefully.

These inexpensive male/female electrical plug sets are well made but they are small and connection layout is awkward and difficult to work with. Plugs arrived on time and in good condition but without instruction sheets.

pure garbage, absolutely the cheapest design and does not positively retain wire end when tightening the screws. no matter how much you twist the wire ends the lack of a place for the wire to be tightened against means the wire just flattens and fans out from under the screw. no positive strain relief and not enough room to do a strain relief knot with the wires. 40 years of electrical and I have not seen this poor of a extension cord end ever. Avoid this product.
