I recently watched a bunch of videos on social media about tufting and instantly fell in love. I have not had the chance to actually use this yet, but I hope to soon.This kit comes with everything you need besides a frame. It’s an excellent starter kit for those, such as myself, who who zero idea what they are doing!The price is high- but this feels like a quality piece. If you were to buy the yarn and all the accessories separately, it would run you a little money, and the tufting gun itself feels like it’s made well. It’s heavy enough to where it seems easy to control, but not too heavy where your arm will hurt.Overall, I think this is a great starter kit for those looking to experiment!

i really like this set. i previously had another tufting gun but it gave me really bad hand cramps. i got this one and so far it’s great for my hands. the trigger and grip seem to be way more ergonomic and easier to handle. the gun is slightly larger than my previous one but that’s no issue. i was able to get it started right away. i really like how the back area is enclosed to help with dust. the only thing os that the yarn area is slightly smaller so i wasn’t able to double up on yarn like i usually do so that will be a learning curve for me but it’s smooth when going. the other accessories that come with it are good as a starter set and the yarn is ok but the skeins are really small so you couldn’t really make much of anything with them but ok for testing it out. in all, i’m happy i got this because it’s a definite upgrade from my previous one and the price point isn’t too bad either.

Everything you need minus the frame and the glue and backing materials are included. You get thread as well as the cloth and an upgraded version of the tufting gun. I have an older version of this machine, and this one is so much smoother and easier to work with. The gun is a cut loop which means when youre done tufting the machine cuts the yarn. It takes some practice but it is a fun hobby and is very easy once you get the hang of it. Make sure to always wprk woth the thread and not against ot to avoid ripping the cloth. Youtube tutorials are a life saver if you're struggling getting started. This is a great kit and i highly recommend if youre in the market for a tufting gun.

Got this kit with basically no knowledge goin into it about how to make rugs other than having seen a couple videos on youtube. went with this one because other models seemed to have external gears which seemed light it might cause issues and this one seemed like a good kit. Comes with MOST of the things you need but the instructions could be much better for beginners. The included instructions are not super clear, especially for a beginner who is unfamiliar with tufting or machines in general. Having a mechanically inclined spouse is nearly a must unless you yourself are handy. The biggest thing this doesn't help with is the frame which is a necessity and the instructions include no notes on what to make or how to use it. Luckily youtube has all the worlds info and from that I managed to get a 3x3 frame built and set up onto a table. More confusing was the instructions on how to do the first time setup on the gun because the images were not super clear and the writing isn't much clearer. Took a lot of tweaking and experimenting to figure out what everything was talking about but finally got that all configured. You can kind of see in the first image how one side looks more messed up than the other because I was still working bugs out. The instructions also do not mention much on technique which is essential to get right. The included yarns are super small and pretty crummy but work for starting out where you will probably make mistakes. The first rug (in the pictures) is basically half done with the included yarns which is why it looks like bad static mess.The kit basically lets you get mostly started besides the frame but leaves a lot to figure out. Going in blind and not highly skilled and I still made it through the first rug (with a bit of help and a ton of youtube). The included scissors are super lame but the threading tool is nice and all the little allens are nice for all the adjustments. Would have been nice to get a small oil vial because it doesn't really tell you what oil you need for maintenance. Once you are done with the first part through you need to get backing glue and shavers before you can put on the backer. The included backer is really good and the grips on it work well. The included cloth and backer is enough for two 3x3 rugs if you are careful about it which is nice to get a practice piece done and then try for a second that comes out nicer.As a total beginner I can't really speak with expertise about the gun itself but it seems to work well, at least by results. My main concern was that the other guns I have seen have big exposed gears and this doesn't so for that it seems good though I rarely see anyone using this style. I only tried with cut pile for starting and it seemed to work fine for the entire rug even where I wasn't so sure about what I was doing. Kept it clean and oiled and haven't seen any wear after finishing the first rug. Tried at least 3 different types of yarn and haven't had any issues. Seems like most issue that arise are going to come from technique, tuning, or outer accessories (thread feeding mechanisms seem to be important) rather than with the gun itself.Good starting point for a beginner but expect to do a ton of internet research on technique and frames before really getting moving.

Though I have some experience with tufting to make little rugs, only having made a few, I had been on the lookout for a nicer tufting gun than the one I had been using. This set not only offered a nicer spec'd out gun than the one I have, but also included most of the necessary things you would need to get started. Unfortunately, it is listed for a price that isn't that competitive with other equally or even more complete packages.Pros:- Very complete package contains everything you need to get started.- The tufting gun itself is very nice, has a very solid build quality, and is easy to adjust.- I have not had any cutting or stringing issues with it, and it has performed extremely consistently.Cons:- It is quite expensive when compared to other sets like it.- You will realistically need to get tufting shears as well, and there are sets that include these that cost less than this one.Overall, this is a nice and fairly complete set that has nearly everything you need to get started and is really only missing tufting shears. That being said, despite a very nice tufting gun, it is not the best value when compared to other sets, and costs more than those which include tufting shears, something you really do need. While it is a good set, I would not recommend it based on the value it provides alone.

I personally liked using this gun. It’s easy and not the heaviest one I own. Not the most quiet gun either BUT it’s by far not my loudest. I did notice that it “shakes” a tad less than my main gun so it’s definitely my go to when I don’t use my other one (the only reason the other one is my main one is because it’s cordless) but this one a close second l. Very smooth and easy to use
