Out of the box, you get the wall until, a pair of MMA knuckle gloves, two strips of Velcro, a short USB-C cable and an instruction sheet.Okay, no way was I using the included Velcro; the sticky backs just weren’t sticky. So, at the local big box hardware store, I picked up official Velcro brand Extreme Outdoor 4in X 2in strips, and mounted the unit with 4 of them on the side and bottom petals. It doesn’t even shimmy on the wall. And the small little pads that are on the bottom were thin enough so the Velcro had no trouble reaching; there’s no tug. Each strip holds 20 lbs, so I’m not worried. (I believe in overkill, especially if I’m going to be punching the crap out of something.) The punching contact pads are rubberized, but not really padded—think thin, stiff rubber plate.Side note; the unit was being marketed as a children’s toy. The included gloves say this is not true, given I’m an adult and they were large on me. No way are they fitting on a child. Keep this in mind when ordering if you really are buying for a kid: you’ll need kid-sized gloves, too.Okay, machine performance. The charging cable is too short to reach an outlet once mounted on the wall, so I used my own 6ft cable. Charged quickly. Synced with Bluetooth without too much hassle. The pairing with music thing was iffy and jarring—you’re supposed to be able to punch on beat…not so much. So, I turned it off. Wearing my earbuds, with my music in only my ears, wearing the slightly large gloves, I just beat the crap out of it, following a random pattern from my own brain. It’s only 14 inches wide, so you really have to tighten your hits. You know, this thing can take a punch. I kind of zoned out for a bit, and stopped pulling my punches, just going with it. Never moved on the wall, never had that tell-tale crack of damaged plastic (that I could hear over my earbuds, anyway). The contact pads have just enough give when you slam into them to feel satisfying, without feeling like your hand is going to punch through to the wall.In sum, I thoroughly enjoyed it and will continue to use it as a boxing trainer. Albeit, without the weird music pairing.

This boxing machine is a bit smaller than I was expecting but still offers enough area to punch away at the lighted pads. The pads will light in time with music if you set them to the specific setting for that, and you can connect Bluetooth to listen to whatever music you'd like. There's also a built in music and sound effects system which is pretty nice. Each of the softer pads will light up randomly and you basically just punch them in succession. The digital display goes up to 999 to count each of your punches. This machine is great for girls and even adults can use it, just set it to the height you want. You don't need to buy extra boxing gloves (but you can if you want) and it comes with a set of black gloves that cover the tops of the hands and knuckles and provides protection for a workout. The machine needs to be charged via USB and it is recommended to charge it for at least a few hours. There's a speed setting so you can have the pads light up faster or slower depending on your preference. The base unit is hard plastic and the pads are softer. The instructions are simple and direct you to aim for the center of the pads.We had a lot of fun with this and it provides a really nice workout. I will say that if others are nearby they will hear you punching away as the force does reverberate in the wall behind it, so just bear that in mind when scheduling your workouts or play time for the kids.
