It's a good hanger. The steel is soft steel and bends easily when you tighten down the bolts.

So far so good, I did a 400 mile round trip and it's still hanging on.The welds are a little puny and the metal is thin and it distorted somewhat when I tightened the mounting boltsI installed mine on the bow stop, just below the winch on the opposite side. I used four more washes on the back side and front side of the studs that holds the tire.Make sure to carry a deep well socket in you vehicle tool kit for the tire mounting bolts. Or cut them down.

2025 New Double-Layer Thickening Spare Tire Mount Bracket for TrailerThis is a stout spare tire carrier. If you can turn 4 lug nuts onto 4 bolts, you can install it.My brand new jon boat came with a trailer that did not come with a spare. Disgusting demonstration of greed, if you ask me. Anyway, this was installed in a few minutes and my newly purchased spare went right on without a problem, and looks like it came from the factory. This is a great way to ensure you are safer on the road, even though Tracker Boats (and everybody else) would rather sacrifice that in the name of profits. Shame on those guys.

Bought this put on a small utility trailer that I am rebuilding. It currently has no place to hold a spare tire. The bracket appears to be made from quality steel and the plates that bolt around the trailer frame are made from heavier steel that will not bend. You will probably snap a bolt before you can bend that steel. The opening for mounting to the trailer is roughly 3 3/4" by 7 3/4". In my case I am dealing with a 3" x 3" frame so it will work fine. See images. For this trailer I will have to place the mount in a horizontal position as the wheel stand is on one side and the makers place is on the other side. Not an issue. The kit comes with all the bolts you will need. The 4 bolts that attach it to the trailer come with regular nuts and locking nuts with nylon inserts. This is good because it will make sure it never comes loose. You tighten the first nut on the bolt, then run the nylon insert nut down to the first nut. Then using two wrenches you tork the two nuts against each other making a very secure bolt. I like the fact that they included the double nuts.My spare fit the bolt pattern on the bracket nicely. I don't have images of the finished installation because I need to sand and repaint the frame before adding the tire mount.Recommended. JohnnyF

I like this mount a lot and it worked perfectly for what I wanted to do. It seem to be well made and very strong, My only knock on it some of the bolts and other pieces started to rush and run down my white boat trailer after the first rain. It's okay because I'm refinishing the trailer in white and I'm going to prep and paint all of these parts.

I purchased this bracket to securely mount a spare tire onto my boat trailer, hoping to ensure worry-free travels. The installation process was surprisingly straightforward; however, I did encounter a minor issue. I realized that the hardware bracket was insufficient for 3-inch square tubing. The precise spacing measurements for the square holes are approximately 2 1/2 inches on the inside, and the hardware provided was metric. To achieve a snug and secure fit, I decided to use my fasteners and adjust the way/where I installed it on my trailer, which resolved those inconveniences.Visually, the bracket is quite appealing, featuring a sleek powder-coated finish that adds a touch of sophistication. However, it's worth noting that it is not galvanized, which raises some concerns about its durability in harsh conditions. Overall, despite facing a few challenges during installation, the bracket appears to be solidly constructed and well-suited for its intended purpose.
