These cords are great and long. I was able to go around my picture windows.

I purchased this power adapter for my ring stick up cam. I was constantly getting alerts and my battery was draining fast. My husband had to change the battery every few days. He installed the power adapter and it works great. We haven’t had to change the battery since then and It is a relief when I’m away for a few days and I can keep an eye on things without worrying about the battery draining.

I really like this camera. I like it so much that I purchased another two, and likely to buy another two…The HD quality is astounding. Night vision is clear and concise (B&W) unless there is light present.I’ve had many CC camera units over many years and they have been nowhere as good as these Ring units. If you get a notification warning you there is motion within the cameras’ view, it is quick to bring up a live image on your phone etc, or you can go back and see the captured recording (subscription required). Either way, I got ya trespassing where you ought not be.I also purchased two pan and tilt units. These too work well. There’s no hiding anywhere at my place… so bugger off.

I bought these because I was not impressed with the battery drain rate and motion detection polling interval of the battery-powered stickup cams. When you connect these power adapters the app thinks you have connected a solar panel, but after switching to hardwired mode (and bypassing the warning), the camera operates like I wanted it to and have zero power drain issues. The Ring website dashboard lets you see the battery % for cameras even when hardwired, so the ultimate test was when a spider built a web in front of one of my cameras overnight. The camera recorded nearly all night long and when I checked the battery - it was still sitting at 100%. Bottom line, this is a much cheaper option than the ring cable for getting your devices into hardwired mode.

This product works as advertised and my batteries are now slowly charging. One bit of information that might be helpful to some: inside the single white wire are two smaller wires, red and black. I had to go through an interior wall to an exterior wall to deliver the power to my camera and did not want to drill a large hole to allow the weatherproof plug or the USB connector to pass through the interior and exterior walls. For anyone with basic wiring/electronics experience, it is a simple matter to cut the white cable somewhere in the middle, pass the white wire through a much smaller hole in your interior and exterior walls (3/16 or quarter of an inch) and rejoin the cable by reconnecting the black and red wires exposed by peeling back an inch or so of the white insulation.

These were a lot longer than necessary but that is my problem. They feel sturdy and i like that they come with little wall anchors to keep the cord in place. I would buy again for all my ring cameras

Any Ring stick up camera or spotlight camera that runs off a battery and can accept Ring's solar panel charging cable will work with this. The cable will recharge the battery. The camera will not work with this without a battery in the camera. The cable recharges the battery, it cannot not directly power the camera. I have 2 spotlight cameras and 4 stickup cameras operating just fine. Just ignore some of the warning/alerts some older firmware might give you about the power mode you are in. If your settings show a charged battery and a solar panel connection, you are fine.
