CV Joint Ear Clamp Banding Tool & Boot Crimp Pliers - 2 Piece Kit
Tighten, secure, and even crimp a CV boot banding strap with the CV Joint Ear Clamp Banding Tool & Boot Crimp Pliers 2-Piece Kit for Cooling System, Vacuum Hose Clamping Set.
Easy To Use:
- Wrap free-end clamps 3/8" or 1/4" roll band and clip around and clip around boot.
- Place a 1/2" ratchet wrench on the winding mandrel and turn. When sufficient tension has been applied, rotate the tool over the boot, bending the band back onto the clip.
- To complete clamping, fold down the remaining tail of the band into the clip and secure it by tapping down the ears of the clip. Note: For added strength, double-wrapped band is recommended.
CV joint boot clamps pilers
Including a 4.25 inch (10.8cm) long plastic handle and 1 inch (2.5cm) long rubber grips on side levers. Pliers includes 5.75 inch (14.6cm) long formed rubber handles.

Very poor quality! The crimping tool doesn't crimp the clamp properly, it just bends. Had to go buy new clamps from the autoparts store. Don't waste your money on these "tools", I use the term loosely.

I've changed a few axle boots in the past and used pliers to tighten the band.These work sooooo much better and the finished product looks good.These aren't the most durable tools but for someone like me that only needs them once in a while they will last me for years.

Needed to replace cv boot on our 2014 polaris ace 325. Forgot to get the tool and ordered this set. Next day it arrived and banding tool was easy to use and seems plenty sturdy. If I was doing it for a living, probably would buy a high end tool but this one worked great for a diy application.

Crimp pliers do not work at all, even after watching a youtube video and modifying it following their instructions, it did not work. Very low, low quality. Had to buy a new set of clamps to use with the banding/cutting tool (which works as intended) and wait a few extra days to receive them and finish the job.
