This is a review for "3 Pack - Exercise Cards - Yoga Poses Volume 1 & 2 + Dumbbell Exercises - Yoga Positions and Dumbbell Workout Fitness Cards - 2.5" x 3.5" "Such a neat idea. These exercise cards are about the size of a normal deck of cards, which makes them very portable. I plan to take the yoga cards with me on a trip I have coming up. I will not be attending my normal yoga class while on my vacation, but I will be doing a lot of walking and will need to do some stretching each night. You can cobble together some cards to make a flow, or you can pick cards at random for your workout. If you have a particular body part that needs extra attention, you can focus on the cards that are specific to that body part, such as low back or shoulder. Each card has an exercise, an illustration and directions for your form. The cards are nice and sturdy and a laminated feel. I had a little trouble getting each box open. (The box is a snug fit around the cards.) I could tell that regular use of the flap on the top of the box, it was going to rip, so I made a pull tab of tape and affixed that to modify the opening tab. Problem solved. That is probably the only complaint I have with this set.The price of this deck is terrific for how much inspiration and potential you get.

I get bored really easily and exercising is not exception. These cards are really fun for challenging yourself while making it a game. I randomly pull 10 of the yoga ones out and commit to doing those in one pass. I've tried watching YT videos, but it's time consuming to try and find instructors I like or who I don't get bored with in five minutes. But mostly, I can never find a video that fits my less-experienced body perfectly and they often do things I simply cannot do. It's also hard to set up a device so that I can see what they're doing while I'm trying to do yoga, and I've tried them all-- phone, tablet, and a tv. The cards solve that for the most part because if I don't like the exercise, I replace it with something else and I can just put it on the floor in front of me. No one's talking and I'm not worried about keeping up with anyone else. The dumbbell cards are even more useful for me because I've never used weights, probably because I've never been much for structured exercising. Again, yes, I could just watch videos, but I'm such a beginner that I would rather pick out what I'm comfortable with and get good at it before moving on. These cards aren't even dumbbell-specific. Some are, but it seems like most of them are for doing exercises that use handheld weights. I did recently get a weight bench, but many of the cards are for exercises performed on the floor. If you're a beginner and not a fan of YT videos and just want to jump in and move at your own pace, these cards are great. They're also great for random variety or changing it up. Or if you're in a place with no devices, etc., there a lot of reasons why you may prefer these to videos or a class.

I'll be honest - I only got this set for the dumbbell cards, since I subscribe to a yoga channel. But I love the concept and execution of these cards. The dumbbell cards are labeled for the region of the body worked (upper body, lower body, back, core). Each card represents one exercise, which is shown in illustration, and then described on the back. Each exercise takes about one minute to complete (more if you add reps) and the card lists the recommended number of reps based on fitness level. The trick is to "deal" out the number of cards for the minutes of workout you want to do. (20 cards = roughly 20 minutes at the base level.) On each card is a drawing of the specific muscle group(s) used, so you can vary which "upper body" muscles you want to work, for example.)There are separate cards describing activities for warm-ups, and a card showing you how to use the cards, but it's pretty obvious once you look at them. The card stock is pretty thick and sturdy and the cards are about the same size as playing cards. They feel smooth in the hands (and don't stick together) and they're heavy enough that you can "deal them out" and not have to worry about thin paper or creasing. The cards also fit in any collectors card binders, if you prefer to store them that way.I didn't really look too hard at the yoga cards but they appear to be set up the same way, and are the same quality of paper.I'm really happy with these cards, and I love being able to do different exercises daily. I hope they make a volume 2 of the dumbbell cards. The same company also makes a Bodyweight series of exercise cards, which comes bundled together with the Dumbbell ones, so if you're less into yoga, you might want to try that bundle. This is a great product and I would recommend the cards to any person working on their fitness.

I like this. It's 3 separate decks of cards, one basic yoga, one advanced yoga, and one dumbbell exercise. The idea is you pick a few cards, and that gives you a different workout. Cool idea. The dumbbell ones give you beginner, intermediate, and advanced level exercises. Yeah, they're all the same, just the number of reps is different, but it's still useful. The cards are two-sided and give you a short explanation of how to do the exercise. The yoga cards are cool as well. You'll definitely want to stay away from the volume 2 deck if you're new at this! I skimmed thru it, and there's some serious poses in there. I'm a long way away from that one! I'm a little uncertain about these though- especially the yoga decks. I feel like you'd be better off with some actual instruction in how to do the poses, so buyer beware. There are a few instructional cards, but they're more about how to use the cards, and in the case of the yoga decks, they give you a few sequences, based on your experience level.
