While the OEM baseplate normally is flush with the XL frame, the extension plate gives much more length to get a better grip. The extension closely mimics the texture design of the WC XL grip on the front/back as well as on the sides but not perfectly. The extension gives you that little bit more space for your pinky to get a grip in the front without it protruding too much in the back where the back is the part that will usually print when carrying. It's not the best looking basepad, but definitely gives people with bigger hands an option to get better support when firing. It's designed as the gap lines are mostly uniform with the magwell. Installation is as simple as any other baseplate removal from another magazine. Great option if you need more grip for larger hands. I tried to attach photos but apparently are not allowed.

Well made and a perfect fit for my Wilson Combat XL frame magazines. Made of a hard thick plastic/rubber like material. Nice texture for gripping the magazine. Provides the perfect extension to my mags for quick grab and replace moves. I recommend.

Terrific value and great fit. Baseplate locks on with a satisfying "snap". The extension really improves the grip.
