Got my old import drill press back up and running. Looks better built then the one mine came with 40 years ago. Even came with a high quality good fitting chuck key. So far I'm impressed. I'll update if there is any more to tell.

I own a 3/4" chuck purchased from All Industrial Tool Supply and expected this one to be identical. Close but not quite. This chuck has a slightly taller "bump" at the top where the arbor fits into the chuck. My original chuck is almost flat on top, and as it appears in the Amazon listing. Also, the barrel of the Amazon chuck is stamped "5-20mm," where the other is 3/16"-3/4". None of these differences are significant. Both chucks are smooth in operation, most likely because they are well greased. There's no mention of ball bearings. Note: In general, a 3/4" chuck is BIG. It dwarfs a 1/2" chuck, being about as large as a regular can of soup.

I spent quite significant time searching, and find that this 3 JT, i,e, Jacob Taper #3 chuck can be used for my Delta 17-900 Drill Press . I just used my mallet taping it onto my drill press chuck arbor and it fitted very good. So you can used it to replace Delta 1312022 chuck to save you some money! Good quality chuck!

I bought it along with the Arbor. They both fit perfectly. now I can use my magnetic drill with bigger bits.
