This range hand is an excellent product. The customer service helped me out a minor solution.

Works well. It's a little loud but not too bad. The only problem I have with this item is that there's a vent on the slanted top side . The cabinets above the hood get greasy . But it's a good unit for the price !

I hate this fan. Does not suck any smoke, steam or anything else out of the cooking area. Because of the vents on top of the hood, all the oils get sucked up by the vent and goes directly onto my new cabinets. Flaw in the design. I've had this for one year and I hate it!! Its not powerful enough to suck anything from the 2 front burners. Waste of money, I'm going a buy a new one, but definitely not this brand!

I was installing a beautiful quartizite backsplash that I wanted to show off so I choose this above the range vent. Be careful when unpacking the filters as they are a bit fragile. One of the two filters was slightly bent and I asked the manufacturer to replace the filter. They did with no problem. and service was great. I wanted a vent that was 600 CFM as that was suggested I needed with the large space between the range and the vent. I like the light, the light weight and the suction capacity. We used the ductless option and mounted to the wall back. There is the option of 4 screws to mount to the back wall or mount the top of the vent to the above cabinet bottom. Husband bought 2 long narrow bolts and bolted the vent top to bottom of the cabinet above the range. (Totally not needed since vent is lightweight.) Also, I wanted simple buttons and not a clock since the range had a clock and I wanted a simple elegant look.

Tate from customer services has been helping me. They have been extremely responsive and have been helping me with technical difficulties. My current vent is 7 inches and I had to improvise a reducer to fit the 5 inch circular output on top of this hood. The hood I received had some bent sheet metal damage around the vent and damaged grease filters. Luckily, customer service is sending me a replacement. Otherwise, the hood is beautiful and low profile. The fan also seems to be fairly quiet. I’ll add to this review when I install and start using the hood.Update: I have now installed the hood and it’s working well so far. The LED lights are bright enough that I don’t need to really have kitchen lights to see food cooking. As you can see, I’ve an Island range and have the hood vent in a false ceiling as opposed to under cabinets. Hood is functional in this usage as well. Customer service has been very understanding and supportive throughout the entire process.

Pros: Cheap, surprisingly quiet, doesn't have nonsense features (who wants a clock on their hood?), and doesn't have tacky badging and colored LEDs.Con: This is a big one...the recirculation/exhaust baffle is leaky. I'd estimate when exhaust is selected it really is a 20% recirculation 80% exhaust, once installed with a 5inch duct run and various changes of direction this goes to more like 50/50. The point of a hood is to exhaust smells and moisture OUT of the kitchen, not throw them back in your face.A silver lining (and the only reason I gave it three stars) is that this can be fixed with foil tape by disassembling the housing and sealing off the recirculation paths in the hood.
